JJ WILDE – A Private Intimate Show in Paris, 1st of December 2021

JJ WILDE est de retour en France !!!

Après son passage promotionnel à Paris et sa performance explosive dans l’émission Taratata l’année dernière, la révélation rock canadienne a noué une véritable relation d’amour avec la France et les fans français.

Cette année la chanteuse a continué son ascension musicale impressionnante : elle a remporté le Juno Award (l’équivalent de Victoires de la Musique) du “Meilleur Album Rock” de l’année 2020 pour RUTHLESS (album dont elle nous a parlé ici) devenant ainsi la première femme à remporter ce trophée depuis 1996.

Cet été, elle a sorti un nouvel EP en digital intitulé WILDE et en novembre, elle a révélé Born To Die, un superbe EP écrit en collaboration avec le chanteur Billy Raffoul et dans lequel elle revient à ces racines folk.

En tournée aux USA et Canada ces 2 derniers mois, JJ a dû reporter toute sa tournée Européenne à cause de la situation actuelle, mais elle a heureusement gardé son concert à Paris. Donc le 6 décembre prochain, elle va donner son 1er concert en Europe à la Maroquinerie !

Arrivée en France en début de semaine, la ravissante rockeuse a été l’invitée de plusieurs radios pour des interview et des showcases : à Lyon, chez Evasion FM, à Paris (Oui FM, RFM, Rock &Folk), à Lille chez Mona FM mais aussi en Belgique au Classic 21. Et le 1 décembre, elle a donné un magnifique show privé au Dr Feelgood Rocket à Paris devant quelques heureux gagnants d’un concours organisé par la radio Oui FM.

Accompagnée par son guitariste, JJ Wilde a interprété en acoustique 6 titres : Born to Die suivi par Giving Up Giving In et 1000 Miles, 2 chansons inédites qu’elle tenait absolument à interpréter en première devant les fans français.

L’énergique Off the Rail est suivi de l’excellente reprise de Stop Dragging My Heart Around, pour finir avec son plus grand succès The Rush – la chanson couronnée numéro n°1 sur Ouï FM et la préférée de l’audience.

Un concert intimiste durant lequel JJ Wilde nous a ébloui avec sa magnifique voix, très puissante légèrement rauque, son interprétation tendre et pleine d’émotion et avec sa personnalité joyeuse et pétillante. Elle a tenue à remercier plusieurs fois, en français et en anglais, à son public totalement conquis. Après le show JJ a signé des autographes et s’est prêtée avec joie aux séances photo avec ses admirateurs.

JJ Wilde is back in France!!!

After her promotional trip in Paris and her explosive performance in Taratata TV Show last year, the Canadian rock revelation has forged a very strong relationship with France and the French fans.

This year the singer continued her impressive musical ascent: she won the Juno Award (the equivalent of Victoires de la Musique or Grammy) for “Best Rock Album” of the year 2020 for RUTHLESS (album she told us about here) becoming the first woman to win this award since 1996.

This summer, she released a new digital EP called WILDE and in November, she revealed Born To Die, a superb EP written in collaboration with singer Billy Raffoul and in which she returns to these folk roots.

On tour in the USA and Canada for the last 2 months, JJ Wilde had to postpone her European tour because of the current situation, but she fortunately kept her concert in Paris.

So, on December 6th, she will perform her 1st concert in Europe at the Maroquinerie!

Arriving in France at the beginning of the week, the lovely rocker was the guest of several radio stations for interviews and showcases: in Lyon, at Evasion FM, in Paris (Oui FM, RFM, Rock & Folk), in Lille at Mona FM but also in Belgium at the Classic 21.

And on December 1st, she performed a magnificent acoustic private show at Dr. Feelgood Rocket in Paris in front of some lucky winners of a contest organized by Oui FM radio.

Accompanied by her guitarist, JJ Wilde performed 6 tracks: Born to Die followed by Giving Up Giving In and 1000 Miles, 2 brand new written songs that she absolutely wanted to perform in front of the French fans for the first time.

The energetic Off the Rail was followed by the excellent cover of Stop Dragging My Heart Around, to finish with her biggest hit The Rush – the song crowned number 1 on Ouï FM and the audience’s favourite.

An intimate acoustic concert during which JJ Wilde amazed us with her fabulous voice, very powerful and slightly raspy, her tender interpretation and full of emotion interpretation and with her joyful and sparkling personality. She wanted to thank several times, in French and English, to totally conquered audience.
