Après avoir écouté en boucle son album Child of the State, j’avais vraiment hâte de voir AYRON JONES sur scène. Eh bien, c’est fait ! Car le guitariste et chanteur de Seattle a donné lundi 29 Novembre 2021 son tout premier concert en France et en Europe.
L’évènement s’est passé au New Morning, le mythique club parisien qui a accueilli depuis son ouverture des nombreux artistes célèbres du blues, jazz ou rock.
Et ce fut ENORME ! Récit :
En ouverture, le charmant duo français Rozedale nous livre un magnifique set acoustique. Amandyn Roses (chant) & Charlie Fabert (guitare) ont interprété quelques titres de leur très bel album éponyme sorti en mai dernier. Ghost For You, Shine ou Ce soir je t’aime (écrit avec Cali), des morceaux blues – rock très accrocheurs, des jolies mélodies et des harmonies sensuelles ont ravis le public pas encore très nombreux dans la salle.
La chanteuse illumine la scène avec sa présence et nous ébloui avec sa voix d’une remarquable puissance tandis que Charlie captive l’audience avec plusieurs excellents solos de guitare.
A 21h c’est le tour d’AYRON JONES et de ses musiciens de faire leur entrée sur scène. La salle est plein à craquer. Distanciation Zéro. Heureusement que beaucoup d’entre nous ont gardé les masques.
Le show s’ouvre (comme l’album) avec une version farouche de Boys From The Puget Sound, morceau qui nous saisit immédiatement et présage un set list hyper énergique.
Suit l’époustouflante Emily avec son tempo groove addictif et une voix ardente. Les guitares s’emballent et le morceau vibrant monte en flèche.
La très grunge Supercharged met carrément le feu sur la scene et dans le public. Les musiciens se lâchent sur scène avec des solos éblouissantes. Maximum de décibels et une incroyable énergie ! La cover de Nirvana, Breed de Nirvana s’enchaine. L’interprétation est assez fidèle à l’original mais l’artiste met quand même un peu son empreinte.
AYRON JONES possède un indéniable charisme et un grand talent.
L’allure et l’attitude d’AYRON JONES sur scène : lunette de soleil, beanie en laine noir, grand collier sur T- shirt noir et perfecto en cuir est non sans rappeler un certain Lenny Kravitz. Sa présence scénique cool a capturé le public dès la première chanson. Rock Star, baby !
Et que dire des musiciens fantastiques qui l’accompagne ? Tyrone « Bob » Lovelace envoie des riffs lourds à la basse, c’est une véritable boule de feu qui n’arrête pas de sauter et de chauffer le public, Matthew Jacquette (guitare) – grand sourire sur le visage en permanence, guitariste incroyable, il est très complice et se complète parfaitement avec Ayron. Quant à Bobbi Jimmi à la batterie, il frappe comme en dingue dans ses fûtes et n’arrête pas de jeter de regards drôles à la foule.
C’est clair : Ces musiciens ne font pas que jouer de leurs instruments. Ils rajoutent une tonne d’énergie et de plaisir et ils font tout un spectacle !
Spinning Circles est une magnifique belle balade avec des passages très rock et un chant chaud et passionné, façon Prince. Killing Season est incendiaire et Free est super funky et obsédante. Encore une fois, la guitare est monstrueuse.
AYRON JONES et ses musiciens ont brillé de mille feux ! Un show féroce, des riffs impitoyables et une interprétation pleine d’émotion!
Take Your Time sublime et accrocheuse, démontre à 100% ses talents de chanteur et la virtuosité de sa guitare. C’est tout simplement sensationnelle. La foule se lance dans le refrain chante hors micro !
La funky Hot Friends et la passionnante Baptized in Muddy Water sont suivis par une autre balade qui enflamme nos esprits : l’élégante My Love Remains, un véritable hymne, à la voix bluesy plein d’émotion complété par une guitare qui hurle majestueusement. Tout simplement fabuleux !
Les premières notes de Mercy retentissent et le public éclate de joie. Une surprise avec la reprise de Hey Joe de Jimi Hendrix, interprété avec beaucoup de passion qui s’enchaine directement avec l’extraordinaire riff de Take me Away. Avec son rythme explosif, la guitare flamboyante et la voix musclée de Jones, le morceau est éblouissant !
Pour le rappel, Ayron rajoute ses touches personnels une version féroce de la légendaire chanson de Prince de « Purple Rain ». Et le concert prend fin en accolades et en larmes d’émotion qui glissent sur les joues des incroyables musiciens.
On confirme qu’Ayron Jones possède un indéniable charisme et un grand talent. Ayron Jones est un guitariste phénoménal, sa voix est superbe et ses chansons catchy sont bien structurées et englobent parfaitement ce mélange intelligent de grunge, heavy, rock, blues et soul.
Son voyage ne fait que commencer et on espère et qu’il grimpera au sommet !
C’est sûr qu’on aura l’occasion à le revoir bientôt (il sera de retour en France au HELLFEST 2022) !
Ce soir, au New Morning, d’AYRON JONES et ses musiciens ont brillé de mille feux ! Un show féroce, des riffs impitoyables et une interprétation pleine d’émotion. Chaque mélodie a été efficace et d’une intensité sublime ! Véritable moment de bonheur qui va rester gravé dans notre mémoire et sûrement la sienne.
J’ai vraiment eu l’impression d’avoir eu l’honneur d’assister à quelque chose de très spécial Et je suis sûre que la plupart des spectateurs peuvent en dire autant.
AYRON JONES a vraiment cassé la baraque à Paris ! Et l’accueil a été plus que triomphal…

After listening to his album Child of the State over and over again, I was really looking forward to see AYRON JONES on stage. Well, it’s done! Because the guitarist and singer of Seattle performed Monday, November 29, 2021 his very first concert in France and Europe.
The event took place at the New Morning, the mythical Parisian club that has welcomed since its opening many famous artists of blues, jazz or rock.
And it was HUGE! Here the report:
The charming French duo Rozedale is opening the evening with a magnificent acoustic set. Amandyn Roses (vocals) & Charlie Fabert (guitar) performed several songs from their beautiful self-titled album released last May. Ghost For You, Shine or Ce soir je t’aime (written with Cali)…blues -rock songs, with pretty melodies and sensual harmonies that delighted the audience not yet very numerous in the venue.
The singer illuminates the stage with her presence and dazzles us with her remarkable powerful voice while Charlie delivers several excellent guitar solos.
At 9pm it is the turn of AYRON JONES and his musicians to arrive on stage. The venue is crowded now. Zero distancing. Luckily, many of are wearing the masks.
The show is opening (like the album) with a fierce version of Boys From The Puget Sound, a song that immediately grabs our attention and announce a hyper energetic set list. Follows the stunning Emily with its addictive groove tempo and a fiery voice. The guitars get excited and the singing get higher and higher.
The grungy Supercharged sets the stage and the audience on fire. The musicians let loose on stage with dazzling solos. Maximum of decibels and incredible energy!
The Nirvana’s cover, Breed, follows. The interpretation is quite faithful to the original but with some Ayron ’s personal touches.
Sunglasses, black wool beanie, large necklace on black T-shirt and leather perfecto, the look and attitude of AYRON JONES on stage is remind of a certain Lenny Kravitz. His cool stage presence captured the audience from the first song. Rock Star, baby!
AYRON JONES has an undeniable charisma and a great talent.
And what to say about the fantastic musicians who accompany him? Tyrone “Bob” Lovelace sends heavy riffs to the bass, he is a real fireball that keeps jumping and warming up the audience, Matthew Jacquette (guitar) – big smile on the face constantly, is an incredible guitarist, he is very complicit with Ayron.
As for Bobbi Jimmi on drums, he knocks like crazy in his drums and keep throwing funny glances at the crowd. It’s clear: These musicians are not here just play their instruments. They add a ton of energy and fun and they make a whole show!
Spinning Circles is a beautiful ballad with very rock passages and a warm and passionate singing, very Prince style. Killing Season is incendiary and Free is super funky and haunting. Again, the guitar is monstrous.
Take Your Time sublime and catchy, demonstrates 100% AYRON’s talents as a singer and the virtuosity of his guitar playing. It’s just sensational. The crowd start together a lovely sing along off the microphone!
The funky Hot Friends and the exciting Baptized in Muddy Water are followed by another ballad that blow our mind: the elegant My Love Remains, a real anthem, with a bluesy voice full of emotion accompanied by a guitar that screams majestically. Simply fabulous!
AYRON JONES and his musicians delivered a fierce show, with ruthless guitar riffs and a full of emotion singing.
Mercy‘s first notes sound and the audience bursts out with joy. A surprise with the cover of Jimi Hendrix’s Hey Joe, performed with a lot of passion that is followed directly by the extraordinary riff of Take me Away. With its explosive rhythm, flamboyant guitar and awesome voice of Jones, the song is dazzling!
In Encore, Ayron adds his personal touches to a great version of Prince’s legendary song from “Purple Rain”. And the concert ends in hugs and tears of emotion that slide down the cheeks of the 4 incredible musicians.
It’s confirmed that AYRON JONES has an undeniable charisma and a great talent. AYRON JONES is a phenomenal guitarist, his voice is superb and his catchy songs are well structured and englobe perfectly a clever mix of grunge, heavy, rock, blues and soul. His journey has only just begun and we hope and that he will climb to the top!
It’s sure that we will have the opportunity to see him again soon (he will be back in France at HELLFEST 2022)!
Tonight, at the New Morning, AYRON JONES and his musicians delivered a fierce show, with ruthless guitar riffs and a full of emotion singing. Each melody was effective and of a sublime intensity! A real moment of happiness that will remain engraved in our memory and surely in his.
I really felt like I had the honour of witnessing something very special and I’m sure most of the audience would say the same thing
AYRON JONES brings down the house in Paris! And the welcome was more than triumphant… A thousand million Bravo!!!!
