Samedi dernier nous avons embarqué dans le Bus Palladium pour un road trip envoutant en compagnie de groupe français Cylew. La fin de l’année 2017, marquait la sortie de leur excellent troisième album Mot3l (vous avez pu le découvrir ici) que le trio avait hâte de nous le présenter en live.
Lumières tamisées, canapés en velours, l’ambiance intimiste de la petite salle-boite de nuit parisienne se prêtait parfaitement aux sonorités rock blues classiques et sans artifices du groupe.
Lady CyLeW (chanteuse et auteure-compositrice), Arnaud Bascuñana (guitare) et Kriss Kilong (batteries) accompagnés à la basse par JL Parrot, nous ont offert un joli mix entre leurs deux derniers albums, un show bien maitrisé qui nous a plongé dans le rock mélodique d’inspiration californienne.
Superbe voix, claire et puissante de la belle et talentueuse chanteuse, de riffs savoureux et batterie énergique, des refrains accrocheurs, une énergie brute et rafraichissante qu’on avait bien besoin sur les scènes françaises.
En alternant de morceaux hard rock énergiques (Take it All, Western Sky) avec des balades mélancoliques, sensuelles et plein d’émotion (Wishing, Jupiter’s Crash), l’univers clair – obscure du Cylew s’est dévoilé petit à petit devant un public visiblement séduit.
Son épuré et d’une grande qualité, une magnifique voix qu’on n’est pas prêts d’oublier, décidément, un groupe à revoir en toute urgence.

Last Saturday, we have embarked in the Bus Palladium for a mesmerizing road trip together with the French band, Cylew. The end of the year 2017, marked the release of their wonderful third album Mot3l (find out more about it here) that the trio was eager to introduce it in live.
Cosy lights, velvet sofas, the intimate Parisian small venue – night club looked as the perfect location for the band’s classic rock blues sound.
Lady CyLeW (singer and songwriter), Arnaud Bascuñana (guitar) and Kriss Kilong (drums) accompanied by JL Parrot (bass), offered us a nice mix between their last two albums, an amazing sound that trasport us into the melodious California-inspired Rock N’ Roll and landscapes.
Magnificent clear and powerful voice of the beautiful talented singer, delicious guitar riffs and energetic drums, catchy choruses, a refreshing raw energy… Alternating more hard – rock songs (Take it All, Western Sky) with melancholic, sensual and emotional ballads (Wishing, Jupiter’s Crash), the universe “chiaroscuro” of the French band was revealed little by little to an audience totally seduced.
Great sound quality, a sublime voice that we’re not ready to forget, definitely, a band to see again urgently.
