Are you ready to Rock? Après deux ans d’absence, le festival Rock en Seine est de retour avec 4 jours de folie, du 25 au 28 août, qui se dérouleront comme d’habitude, dans le cadre bucolique du Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, aux portes de Paris.
Avec une programmation éclectique qui propose quatre-vingt artistes venus de tous les univers musicaux : rock, pop, électro, hip hop… vous allez en prendre plein les yeux et les oreilles : des énormes têtes d’affiche, des artistes qui montent ou des nouveaux talents désireux à nous convaincre, vous allez avoir du mal à choisir. Voilà notre sélection de concerts à me pas manquer :
Le grand retour de ACRTIC MONKEYS. En attendant le septième album des rockeurs du Sheffield, on va profiter pour écouter et danser sur leurs plus grands hits.
YUNGBLUD, excentrique anglais nous présentera son joyeux mélange de rock emo, de rap, de pop-punk et de ska. Une belle occasion de découvrir cet artiste qui ne tarit pas les éloges.
IDLES – Impossible de rater le show de cet énorme groupe punk – rock qui exorcise ses angoisses à coups de riffs tranchants et de rythmes martelés, entre désespoir et humour, entre gravité et bamboche. Après avoir électrisé le public de Rock en Seine en 2018, Joe Talbot et ses comparses sont de retour pour présenter le dernier album Crawler (2021) et pas seulement.
INHALER – le jeune quartet de Dublin va surement vous paraitre familier. C’est normal car Elijah Hewson, le chanteur-guitariste du groupe est le fils de Bono. Mais même si leurs compositions nous rappellent les débuts post-punk de U2, Inhaler possède ses propres influences et son propre style. A découvrir.
Fontaines D.C. vient d’Irlande aussi et leurs concerts sont à couper le souffle. Influencé par les meilleurs du rock britannique (The Clash, The Libertines, The Fall…) et par la poésie (Kerouac, Ginsberg ou James Joyce), le groupe mené par le charismatique Grian Chatten, nous promet un show à la hauteur de leur réputation.
Avec sa voix de baryton, sa musique rock – post punk aux influences blues, mélangé au romantisme noir et aux références bibliques, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds n’a plus besoin de présentation.
Le charismatique crooner ténébreux nous offrira surement un show ensorcelant d’une grande intensité émotionnelle.
Dans la même lignée, ne ratez pas ANIMAL TRISTE. Issus de plusieurs groupes normands (La Maison Tellier, Radiosofa, Darko, Dallas), les six compagnons qui composent Animal Triste pratiquent un rock ténébreux, crépusculaire et lancinant, qui résonnera au plus profond de la nuit dans les allées sombres. Vous allez adorer.
Une belle invitation au voyage avec Los Bitchos, quatre jeunes femmes installées à Londres (originaires de Suède, d’Amérique du Sud, d’Australie et du Royaume-Uni). Un doux air de 60s avec leur chansons (entièrement instrumentales) qui évoquent le rock psychédélique, la sunshine pop, la cumbia, le surf-rock.
Un clin d’œil aux 70s avec les chansons ensoleillées et insouciantes de PARCELS, les cinq Australiens qui ont le chic pour répandre leur bonne humeur partout où ils se produisent. Leur joie de vivre s’exprime non seulement dans leur musique, qui ajoute des traits d’union entre electro, pop et disco, mais aussi dans leurs looks bariolés, leurs harmonies vocales haut perchées et leurs folies capillaires. Coup de cœur en 2018, on a hâte de les retrouver.
Le trio londonien, LONDON GRAMMAR nous enchantera avec leur sonorités électro pop sophistiquées et sensuels mises en valeur par la sublime voix angélique de la chanteuse, Hannah Reid.
Et aussi, SQUID et son post-punk abrasif, JOY CROOKES la sensation néo-soul originaire de Londres, AURORA la popstar norvégienne qui possède une voix éblouissante et une grande fantaisie.

Are you ready to Rock? After two years of absence, the Rock en Seine festival is back with 4 days of madness, from August 25th to 28th, which will take place as usual, in the beautiful Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, at the gates of Paris.
With an eclectic line up of eighty artists from all musical universes: rock, pop, electro, hip hop… you will take full eyes and ears: huge headliners, the rising artists and new talents eager to convince us, you will have a hard time choosing. The big come back of ARCTIC MONKEYS. While waiting for the seventh album of the Sheffield rockers, we will take the opportunity to listen and dance to their greatest hits.
YUNGBLUD, eccentric English will present us his joyful mix of emo rock, rap, pop-punk and ska. A great opportunity to discover live this artist who does not dry up praise.
IDLES – It’s impossible to miss the show of this huge punk -rock band that exorcises its anxieties with sharp riffs and hammered rhythms, between despair and humor. After electrifying the Rock en Seine audience in 2018, Joe Talbot and his friends are back to present the latest album Crawler (2021) and not only.

In the same vein, do not miss ANIMAL TRISTE. Coming from several Norman bands (La Maison Tellier, Radiosofa, Darko, Dallas), the six companions who make up Animal Triste practice a dark, twilight and throbbing rock, which will resonate in the depths of the night in the dark alleys. You’ll love it.
A beautiful invitation to travel with Los Bitchos, four young women living in London (but coming from Sweden, South America, Australia and the United Kingdom). A sweet tune of 60s with their songs (entirely instrumental) that evoke psychedelic rock, sunshine pop, cumbia, surf-rock.
A nod to the 70s with the sunny and carefree songs of PARCELS, the five Australians who have the chic to spread their good mood wherever they perform. Their joie de vivre is expressed not only in their music, which adds hyphens between electro, pop and disco, but also in their colourful looks, their high-pitched vocal harmonies and their hair follies. One of our favourites in 2018, we can’t wait to find them.
The London trio, LONDON GRAMMAR will enchant us with their sophisticated and sensual electro pop sounds highlighted by the sublime angelic voice of their singer, Hannah Reid.
And also, SQUID and its abrasive post-punk, JOY CROOKES the neo-soul sensation from London, AURORA the Norwegian popstar who has a dazzling voice and great fantasy.
