GHOST – Call Me Little Sunshine
Le nouvel album du groupe suédois GHOST, IMPERA, est sorti le 11 MARS 2022 et cette semaine est déjà n°1 aux Etats-Unis !
GHOST vient tout juste de terminer sa tournée américaine et après un break de quelques semaines, le groupe débarquera enfin en Europe pour une série de shows qui passera par Paris et l’Accor Arena, le lundi 18 avril 2022.
On le sait déjà chacun de leur show est toujours spectaculaire ! Ça sera bien sûr une belle occasion de découvrir en live les superbes mélodies et les riffs redoutables de ce nouvel opus et mais aussi réécouter leurs extraordinaires tubes cumulés pendant leur carrière et bien sûr découvrir les nouveaux masques, les costumes et décors époustouflants. KO KO MO – YOUR KISS
KO KO MO est un duo musical explosif, deux bêtes de scène : Warren (guitare – chant) et Kevin «K20» (batterie – choeurs). À deux, c’est la fureur de vivre. Toujours à fond sur les traces de leurs héros des 70’s, ils transcendent subtilement leurs influences pour nous offrir un « classic rock » aux allures vintages et pourtant indéniablement actuel.
Warren y conjugue ses vocalises parfois androgynes à un jeu de guitare jamais avare en riffs et en solos, tandis que « K20 » casse la baraque avec un sens du spectacle et une furie digne des plus grands cogneurs de l’histoire du rock.
Leur excellent album Need So Mo est sorti le 25 Mars et ils sont déjà partis sur la route pour nous le faire découvrir.
Regardez la vidéo de YOUR KISS qui nous entraine dans un monde virtuel ludique et coloré, de néons, de caissons lumineux et des vieux flipper qui accompagne ce morceaux écrit pendant le confinement. Il parle de la difficulté de trouver une âme-sœur pendant cette période d’isolement. Un peu comme dans un rêve, le narrateur s’invente une histoire d’amour inexistante.
Il cite toutes ces petites choses qui lui manquent mais qu’il ne connaît pas encore («I miss a kiss i want to know») ou alors de ce qu’il a connu par le passé, et dont il abusait sans se rendre compte de leur importance…

SCORPIONS – When You Know
Le 19ème opus de Scorpions disponible depuis le 25 Février – Rock Believer est n°2 du Top Album (n°1 en physique) et la tournée française de 7 dates s’approche à grands pas. En mai -juin 2022, ils s’arrêterons à Toulouse, Lille, Nice, Amnéville, Clermont-Ferrand et Paris (où ils joueront une nouvelle fois à l’Accor Arena, salle où ils avaient été le premier groupe de rock à se produire en 1984. Ils seront aussi tête d’affiche au Hellfest le 23 Juin 2022.

On vous a parlé ici de A Loner, le 6-ème album, du groupe français, HANGMAN’S CHAIR, sorti le 11 février 2022 sur le label Nuclear Blast.
Le combo français sera en concert le 8 avril à Paris. Cette halte parisienne s’inscrit dans le cadre de la tournée lancée juste après la sortie de cet excellent album pour lequel le quatuor a choisi d’approfondir les sonorités cold wave s’aventurant ainsi vers des territoires plus atmosphériques et glaçantes et des magnifiques textures claires obscures.

AYRON JONES – Purple Rain with WAXX
Vous vous souvenez peut-être du guitariste et chanteur de Seattle, AYRON JONES et son tout premier concert explosif en France, au New Morning à Paris, lundi 29 Novembre 2021
Eh bien, la première tournée française d’Ayron Jones s’annonce donc particulièrement excitante, d’autant qu’elle sera marquée d’un passage par la Mainstage du Hellfest le 25 juin et d’un retour à Paris, en tête d’affiche, à la Cigale le 13 novembre 2022.
Sorti courant 2021, son incroyable album Child of the State distille superbement le blues, le grunge, le rock ou la soul.
Ayron Jones a aussi profité de son passage à Paris pour l’enregistrement de Taratata pour rendre une petite visite à Waxx dans le studio de Foudre chez RTL2. Ne ratez pas ce moment magique entre deux artistes qui étaient faits pour se rencontrer.
Revivez son récent passage dans Taratata ou il a interprété son hit Supercharged et il a retourné le public avec une poignante reprise acoustique de Lenny Kravitz, avant de conclure l’émission avec une puissante interprétation de Purple Rain de Prince.

THE LUKA STATE – Oxygen Thief
THE LUKA STATE, vous les connaissait déjà. Originaire de Winsford (Cheshire) situé non loin de Manchester et Liverpool, ce quatuor ambitieux et déterminé a sorti son premier album fin janvier 2021. Intitulé Fall In Fall Out, les 12 chansons de l’album provoquent une véritable montée d’adrénaline.
Guitares vrombissantes, voix rocailleuse, rythmiques explosives et sonorités vertigineuse, le groupe britannique excelle dans des compositions rock brut accrocheuses (Feel it, Bury Me, Kick In The Teeth, [ Insert Girl’s Name Here] ) mais révèle aussi son grand talent dans l’interprétation des mélodies planantes dotées d’un grande sensibilité (Girls, Bold, Fall In Fall Out).
Mais il est clair que le quatuor n’allait pas s’arrêter en si bon chemin car un nouveau single Oxygen Thief a été dévoilé en Janvier 2022. Ce nouveau single plus énergique que jamais annonce une nouvelle ère pour le groupe et un nouveau concert à Paris le mercredi 12 mai 2022.
En septembre dernier, les efforts de The Luka State ont été récompensés avec un premier concert “sold out” à Paris et le public français les ont découverts lors de leur passage remarqué dans Taratata.

DIRTY SHIRT revient avecun nouvel album Get Your Dose Now qui sort le 1er avril 2022
L’un des groupes de métal les plus populaires et les plus diversifiés d’Europe de l’Est, le groupe roumain est mélange avec maestria de folk métal, de nu-métal, de hardcore, de metalcore, de rock industriel et alternatif.
“Get Your Dose Now !” est le sixième album de la discographie du groupe, qui comprend également leur EP “Pandemic Special” sorti plus tôt cette année et trois enregistrements live “Live at Wacken” (2019), “FolkCore DeTour” (2018) et “Live in the Truck” (2011), plus une longue histoire de performances en festival.
L’album très diversifié surprendra les auditeurs, mais sera également familier aux fans de longue date. Découvrez les 2 premiers singles extrais de cet album.
Cand s-o-mpartit norocu (Quand la chance a été partagée) – Part 1 & 2 est accompagné par une superbe vidéo été réalisée par Costin Chioreanu (Ghost, Marylin Manson, Opeth, Carcass, Hypocrisy), artiste roumain internationalement reconnu pour son style unique de graphisme et d’animation.
Les deux morceaux s’inspirent d’une chanson folk roumaine très triste, que le groupe explique plus en détail :
“La première partie commence par une ambiance monotone et presque funèbre, avec un long développement en crescendo vers le refrain. Dans la deuxième partie, l’ambiance devient plus psychédélique, avec une influence de Tool sur les couplets. Il y a un pont instrumental vers le refrain, avec des influences tziganes, et le refrain en anglais, avec une ambiance “élévatrice” et un son alternatif/grunge.
À l’exception du refrain en anglais, les paroles sont issues de la musique traditionnelle et traitent du fait que nous sommes confrontés à des tragédies dans notre vie. Malheureusement, il nous est impossible de ne pas faire le lien entre l’atmosphère visuelle et musicale de la vidéo et ce qui se passe dans notre pays voisin, l’Ukraine. C’est une chanson triste, avec une vidéo triste, pour des temps tristes…”

Quant à Dope-A-Min – C’est probablement l’une des chansons les plus énergiques de l’album. Et avec le clip le groupe nous invite à un séance Gym Tonique !
Une intro nu-metal/hardcore, puis les couplets et les refrains combinent le métal avec des mélodies de style traditionnel, donnant presque une ambiance “pirate metal”. L’intermezzo change complètement, avec un break rythmique complexe, puis une partie mélodique, avec des voix et un thème de violon composé dans le style gitan roumain. La chanson se termine de façon symétrique, avec la même partie hardcore/nu metal que l’intro.
La dopamine joue un rôle dans la façon dont nous ressentons le plaisir. Cette chanson parle de toutes les illusions créées sur les médias sociaux et dans nos relations en général. Nous devons être heureux à tout prix, et devenir dépendants de ces shoots de dopamine comme si on prenait des comprimés de vitamines tous les matins.

BLIND CHANNEL – Bad Idea
Vous vous souvenez surement de l’Eurovision 2021, cette fameuse édition quand le rock a triomphé. Pas seulement grâce aux grands gagnants, le groupe italien Maneskin, mais aussi grâce à l’excellente 6-ème place obtenue par le groupe Finlandais, BLIND CHANNEL et leur chanson Dark Side.
Comme Joel Hokka nous avez confié en Juillet 2021, le groupe était en train de préparer la sortie de leur prochain album. Voilà donc que ‘Lifestyles of the Sick & Dangerous’, sortira le 8 juillet 2022 via Century Media.

Bad Idea est une sérénade d’apitoiement sur soi et d’excuses infructueuses. Dans les paroles, nous devenons plus personnels et nous creusons plus profondément que jamais. La chanson a vu le jour il y a plusieurs années, lorsque des relations se terminaient de manière très désagréable et que tout ce que vous pouviez penser était : “Je t’avais prévenu.”
Se frayant furieusement un chemin vers le grand public mondial, le groupe de six musiciens a toujours embrassé ses influences, des iconoclastes du nu-metal aux géants de la pop et du hip-hop, tout cela fait partie de l’ADN de Blind Channel. THE RASMUS – Jezebel
Et puisqu’on parle de l’Eurovision, eh bien la Finlande a décidé d’envoyer de nouveau un groupe de rock au Concours Eurovision de la Chanson à Turin en mai 2022. Et pas n’importe lequel ! THE RASMUS !
The Rasmus a été couronné vainqueur du concours de sélection Eurovision de la Finlande, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK), après avoir livré une performance qui a séduit à la fois le jury international et le public finlandais, permettant au groupe de remporter une victoire écrasante avec 310 points.
La chanson gagnante de The Rasmus, Jezebel, a été coécrite par le chanteur Lauri Ylönen et le célèbre producteur-musicien Desmond Child. Child a travaillé avec des légendes du rock comme Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper et Kiss, et a également produit l’album Black Roses de The Rasmus en 2008. L’entrée à l’Eurovision Jezebel a été écrite en quelques heures à partir de la démo de Lauri.
Ensemble depuis près de 30 ans maintenant, THE RASMUS est l’un des groupes finlandais qui a le plus de succès sur la scène internationale. Il a sorti neuf albums, remporté de nombreux prix de l’industrie musicale et donné des concerts dans le monde entier. Leur plus grand succès, In the Shadows, a franchi la barre des 100 millions d’écoutes sur Spotify, bien qu’il soit sorti plusieurs années avant l’invention de la plateforme de streaming.
Le concours Eurovision de la chanson aura lieu à Turin, en Italie, du 10 au 14 mai 2022. La Finlande participera à la deuxième demie-finale le 12 mai.
HEART LINE – One Night In Paradise
HEART LINE est un groupe français de Hard Rock/Melodic Rock formé en 2020. C’est le nouveau projet du guitariste et producteur Français Yvan GUILLEVIC (YGAS, PYG, United Guitars). Entouré d’une équipe fantastique, le groupe est composé du chanteur Emmanuel CREIS (Shadyon, Equinox), du claviériste Jorris GUILBAUD (Devoid, Shadyon), du batteur Walter FRANÇAIS (Shadyon) et du bassiste Dominique BRAUD (YGAS, EBH).
Le groupe est fortement inspiré par des groupes légendaires des années 80, de Whitesnake à Foreigner, Journey, Winger, Bad English, Giant. On pense aussi à Europe, Bon Jovi, Brother Firetribe ou H.E.A.T.

KO KO MO – YOUR KISS
KO KO MO is an explosive musical duo, two stage beasts: Warren (guitar – vocals) and Kevin “K20” (drums – backing vocals). For two, it is the fury of living. Always following the footsteps of their 70’s heroes, they subtly transcend their influences to offer us a “classic rock” with vintage looks and yet undeniably modern sound.
Warren combines his sometimes-androgynous vocals with a guitar playing huge riffs and solos, while “K20” impressed with a sense of spectacle and a fury worthy of the greatest knockers in the history of rock. Their excellent album Need So Mo’ was released on March 25 and they have already gone on the road!

SCORPIONS – When You Know
The 19th album of Scorpions available since February 25 – Rock Believer – is n°2 of the Top Album (n°1 in physics) and the 7 dates French Tour is approaching. In May-June 2022, they will stop in Toulouse, Lille, Nice, Amnéville, Clermont-Ferrand and Paris (where they will play once again at the Accor Arena, where they were the first rock band to perform in 1984). They will also headline Hellfest on June 23, 2022.

HANGMAN’S CHAIR – Who Wants To Die Old
We told you here about A Loner, the 6th album, of the French band, HANGMAN’S CHAIR, released on February 11, 2022 on the Nuclear Blast label.
The French combo will be in concert on April 8 in Paris. This Parisian stop is part of the tour launched just after the release of this excellent album for which the quartet has chosen to deepen the cold wave sounds thus venturing towards more atmospheric and chilling territories and magnificent dark-light textures.

AYRON JONES – Purple rain with WAXX
You may remember the awesome guitarist and singer from Seattle, AYRON JONES and his very first explosive concert in France, at the New Morning in Paris on Monday, November 29, 2021.
Well, Ayron Jones’ first French tour promises to be particularly exciting, especially since it will be marked by a performance on the Mainstage of Hellfest on June 25 and a comeback to Paris, headlining, at La Cigale on November 13, 2022.
Released in 2021, his incredible album Child of the State superbly blends blues, grunge, rock or soul.
Ayron Jones also took advantage of his visit to Paris for the recording of Taratata to pay a small visit to Waxx in Foudre’s studio at RTL2. Don’t miss this magical moment between two artists who were made to meet

THE LUKA STATE – Oxygen Thief

DIRTY SHIRT is back with a new album Get Your Dose Now that will be released on April 1, 2022.
One of the most popular and diverse metal bands in Eastern Europe, the Romanian band DIRTY SHIRT is masterfully mixing the folk metal, nu-metal, hardcore, metalcore, industrial rock and alternative. Get Your Dose Now! is the sixth album in the band’s discography, which also includes their EP Pandemic Special released earlier this year and three live recordings “Live at Wacken” (2019), “FolkCore DeTour” (2018) and “Live in the Truck” (2011), plus a long history of festival performances.
The very diverse album will surprise listeners, but will also be familiar to long-time fans.

Both tracks are inspired by a very sad Romanian folk song, which the band explains in more detail: “The first part begins with a monotonous and almost funeral atmosphere, with a long crescendo development towards the chorus. In the second part, the mood becomes more psychedelic, with An influence of Tool on the verses. There is an instrumental bridge to the chorus, with gypsy influences, and the chorus in English, with an “uplifting” vibe and an alternative/grunge sound.
With the exception of the chorus in English, the lyrics are from traditional Romanian music and deal with the fact that we are facing tragedies in our lives. Unfortunately, it is impossible for us not to make the connection between the visual and musical atmosphere of the video and what is happening in our neighbouring country, Ukraine. It’s a sad song, with a sad video, for sad times…”

As for Dope-A-Min – This is probably one of the most energetic songs on the album. And with the video clip the band invites us to a Gym Tonic session! A nu-metal/hardcore intro, then the verses and choruses combine metal with traditional-style melodies, almost giving a “pirate metal” vibe. The intermezzo changes completely, with a complex rhythmic break, then a melodic part, with voices and a violin theme composed in the Romanian gypsy style. The song ends symmetrically, with the same hardcore/nu metal part as the intro. Dopamine plays a role in how we feel pleasure. This song is about all the illusions created on social media and in our relationships in general. We must be happy at all costs, and become addicted to these dopamine shots as if we were taking vitamin tablets every morning.

BLIND CHANNEL – Bad Idea
You probably remember Eurovision 2021, that famous edition when rock triumphed. Not only thanks to the big winners, the Italian band Maneskin, but also thanks to the excellent 6th place obtained by the Finnish group, BLIND CHANNEL and their song Dark Side.
As Joel Hokka told us in July 2021, the band was preparing the release of their next album. Here it is : ‘Lifestyles of the Sick & Dangerous’ will be released on July 8, 2022 via Century Media. Discover the third single from the album, entitled Bad Idea. Speaking of the new song, the band shares:
Bad Idea is a serenade of self-pity and fruitless excuses. In the lyrics, we become more personal and we dig deeper than ever. The song was born several years ago, when relationships ended in a very unpleasant way and all you could think was: “I warned you.”
Furiously making its way to the global mainstream, the six-piece band has always embraced its influences, from nu-metal iconoclasts to pop and hip-hop giants, all part of Blind Channel’s DNA.
This is the key to their success: they only seek to remain true to themselves while carefully seeking the keys that will allow them to open the doors to success. So, we are looking forward to this new record!

THE RASMUS – Jezebel
And talking about Eurovision, well Finland has decided to send again a rock band to the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin in May 2022. And not any band! But THE RASMUS!
THE RASMUS was crowned the winner of Finland’s Eurovision selection contest, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK), after delivering a performance that wowed both the international jury and the Finnish public, allowing the group to win a landslide victory with 310 points.
The Rasmus’ winning song, Jezebel, was co-written by singer Lauri Ylönen and famous producer-musician Desmond Child. Child has worked with rock legends like Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper and Kiss, and also produced The Rasmus’ 2008 album Black Roses.
Together for almost 30 years now, THE RASMUS is one of the most successful Finnish bands on the international scene. He has released nine albums, won numerous music industry awards and given concerts all over the world. Their biggest hit, In the Shadows, crossed the 100 million streams mark on Spotify, although it was released several years before the invention of the streaming platform. The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Turin, Italy, from 10 to 14 May 2022. Finland will play in the second semi-final on 12 May.
HEART LINE – One Night In Paradise
HEART LINE is a French Hard Rock/Melodic Rock band formed in 2020. It is the new project of French guitarist and producer Yvan GUILLEVIC (YGAS, PYG, United Guitars). Surrounded by a fantastic team, the band is composed of singer Emmanuel CREIS (Shadyon, Equinox), keyboardist Jorris GUILBAUD (Devoid, Shadyon), drummer Walter FRANÇAIS (Shadyon) and bassist Dominique BRAUD (YGAS, EBH).
The band is strongly inspired by legendary bands of the 80s, from Whitesnake to Foreigner, Journey, Winger, Bad English, Giant. We also think of Europe, Bon Jovi, Brother Firetribe or H.E.A.T.
One Night In Paradise is the second single from their album Back In The Game released November 2021.
