ICE NINE KILLS – Hip To Be Scared ft. Jacoby Shaddix
Le groupe american, ICE NINE KILLS ou INK annonce un nouvel album “THE SILVER SCREAM 2: WELCOME TO HORRORWOOD” à venir le 15 octobre prochain via Fearless Records
Le premier single extrait d’album, Hip To Be Scared, dévoile un invité de marque : Jacoby Shaddix de PAPA ROACH. Si vous aimez les horror movies et le metalcore vous allez adorer la vidéo qui l’accompagne. Présentée en avant-première lors d’un événement au Mystic Museum de North Hollywood, en Californie pour les fans du groupe, le clip rend hommage au film mythique basé sur le roman de Bret Easton Ellis – American Psycho, centré sur le banquier d’investissement psychotique, Patrick Bateman.
Hip To Be Scared mélange des refrains envolés, un lyrisme intelligent, des riffs lourds et des moments théâtraux à la Broadway. La chanson tire également son chapeau à un classique de la pop des années 80 bien-aimé par le protagoniste meurtrier.
BADFLOWER – Family
Formé à Los Angeles et désormais basé à Nashville, BADFLOWER revient avec un nouvel album le 24 septembre prochain sur Big Machine / John Varvatos Records (distribution Universal)
Vous les connaissez peut-être déjà grâce à leur excellent premier album Ok, I’m sick sorti en 2018 et aussi à leurs 2 concerts explosifs à Paris la même année à la Maroquinerie, puis à la Boule Noire.
Leur rock alternatif aux influence grunge parle avec beaucoup de sincérité du stress, de l’insomnie, du sexe, de la tristesse, de la douleur…
Chargés de ces messages, leurs titres à fleur de peau (Heroin ou Ghost) ont souvent été synonymes de hits ayant permis à leur premier album d’être certifié or aux USA.
A ses confessions saisissantes, parfois effrayantes, le chanteur/guitariste Josh Katz vient d’ajouter la lutte contre le changement climatique à ses combats. Un sujet que l’on retrouve dans certaines des 13 chansons qui composent ce nouvel album intitulé This is How The World Ends.
Pour Josh, la beauté doit se révéler dans l’inconfort. Un texte ou un accord de guitare doit torturer l’esprit de l’auditeur, lui apprendre ses propres limites et, ainsi, peut-être, amener du changement dans sa vie.
Family est une chanson très personnelle. Ainsi que le vidéo clip. Voilà ce que Josh déclare sur Instagram « L’écriture de cette chanson m’a aidé à reconnaître beaucoup de choses sur moi-même dont je ne suis pas fier. Montrer cette chanson m’a aidé à commencer le processus de changement de ces choses. Un grand merci à mon groupe pour m’avoir encouragé à suivre mon élan créatif dans le visuel et à mes amis et à ma famille pour m’avoir permis de mettre autant de choses personnelles dans cette vidéo »

SAINT CHAOS – Kick
Apprivoiser le chaos n’est pas une tâche facile …Le duo pop-rock berlinois SAINT CHAOS relève ce défi à plusieurs niveaux.
SAINT CHAOS – c’est Nils Brunkhorst (chanteur, auteur-compositeur, acteur) et Phil Sunday (producteur, auteur-compositeur, guitariste). Alors que Phil produit et écrit pour des groupes tels que Chris James, Ghostkid et Kreator, Nils apparaît dans de nombreuses productions telles que Hit Man : The Shields. Agent 47, DARK, Counterpart et FearDotCom en tant qu’acteur.
L’idée de monter un groupe est arrivée à l’été 2018 après une session d’écriture collaborative de chansons. “Nous essayons de briser les frontières des genres en combinant la musique rock alternative avec des beats électroniques”
Le duo travaille dans un véritable style “Do-It-Yourself”. Tout, de la production musicale aux clips, est créé par les deux sympathiques musiciens.
Plus de 4 millions de streams sur Spotify, 10 millions de clics sur YouTube et des centaines de vidéos utilisant leur musique, et ce n’est pas fini. La taille de leur fanbase ne cesse de croître.
Au milieu de l’année 2020, le duo a décidé de sortir un nouveau single toutes les 6 semaines. Certaines de leurs chansons sont déjà diffusées à la radio et bientôt Saint Chaos va présenter son premier album. “Il s’agit de courage et de motivation, d’acceptation et d’une vision positive de l’avenir”.Et non, ils ne font pas partie du gang de Casa del Papel… enfin, pour l’instant.

DIRTY SHIRT – Pretty Faces
PRETTY FACES, le nouveau single du groupe roumain DIRTY SHIRT (annoncé au HellFest 2022), est un featuring avec BENJI WEBBE de Skindred et Dub War (UK), CALIU (célèbre violoniste traditionnel roumain, leader de l’ancien Taraf de Haïdouks et de Taraf de Caliu et qui a participé́ dans les films “The Man Who Cried” à côté de Johnny Depp et Christina Ricci et “Le Concert” de Radu Mihaileanu) et PAUL ILEA (Sensor, Ipse et music producer pour “The Voice Romania” et “Romania Got Talent”).
La chanson combine la puissance de riff métal teintés d’électro avec une touche de World Music (violons, flutes, cymbalum, accordéon) aux lignes mélodiques accrocheuses.
Le groupe sera en concert à Paris (Trabendo) à côté des Ramoneurs de Menhirs, le 7 Octobre 2021.
GOJIRA –The Chant
GOJIRA est incontestablement LE groupe français de métal qui a su capter l’attention du public et des médias du monde entier. Leur death metal profond et intelligent ne connaît pas de frontière.
Nommés deux fois aux Grammy Awards en 2017, depuis plusieurs années maintenant leur nom côtoie celui des plus grandes formations internationales sur le haut des affiches des festivals les plus prestigieux.
“Fortitude”, leur 7ème album, est un cri pour la planète, porteur d’un message écologiste et engagé qui a été salué bien au-delà de la presse spécialisée.
En France, Fortitude est entré directement à la seconde place du Top Album, alors qu’aux Etats-Unis il s’est classé n°12 dans le fameux Top 200 du Billboard (n°1 des charts rock aux USA et en Grande-Bretagne), un exploit que peu d’artistes français peuvent se vanter d’avoir accompli.

CHUNK! NO, CAPTAIN CHUNK! – Gone are the Good Days
Voilà un groupe avec un drôle de nom qu’il faudra absolument écouter cet été. CHUNK ! NO, CAPTAIN CHUNK ! Son nom s’inspire du célèbre film d’aventure culte des années 80, The Goonies, et leur style musical est un mélange de pop punk et metalcore appelé “easycore”.
Après 6 ans d’absence le groupe parisien sortira son quatrième album Gone Are The Good Days, le 30 juillet sur Fearless Records. L’album est rempli d’hymnes catchy qui vous invitent à lever le poing en l’air, à chanter et à danser comme si personne ne regardait. Que des positive vibes ! Et un peu de nostalgie!
“L’album était un moyen pour nous de transformer les conneries de 2020 en un meilleur état d’esprit”, dit Bertrand Poncet, le chanteur du combo. “Pour nous donner un meilleur avenir ».

BLACK IRIS – Solaris
Voilà un autre groupe francilien qu’on vous fait découvrir aujourd’hui : BLACK IRIS. Le quintet sort son premier EP 3 titres intitulé L’Eclipse. Du rock français avec des belles influences grunge 90’s et des textes taillés dans les thématiques contemporaines d’aujourd’hui. Abordant la Collapsologie, le soleil comme un désastre lumineux, ou encore la course à l’éternelle jeunesse, BLACK IRIS n’invente rien dans ses riffs mais affine le son rock pour le transformer en rock façon 2021. Energique et efficace ! On attend la suite avec impatience !
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE – Knives
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE a annoncé un nouvel album en octobre ! Un 7eme album éponyme. Le 1er extrait Knives et déjà disponible sur toutes les plateformes.
Et le 26 juin 2022 le quatuor gallois prendra d’assaut l’une des Mainstages de Hellfest aux côtés de Metallica, Sabaton, Black Label Society, Avatar, BMTH…

PRIMAL AGE a marqué les année 90s en étant parmi les premiers à mélanger les styles métal et Hardcore en Europe. Le groupe français a une expérience de scènes impressionnante avec plus de 700 concerts à travers l’Europe, des tournées au Mexique, Japan ou Brazil…
Les voilà de retour avec Masked Enemy sortie le 11 juin 2021 chez WTF Records. Des riffs hyper énergiques, une rythmique puissante, de cris enragés et des thématiques engagés comme l’écologie, le végétarisme, les droits des animaux, la dénonciation de la surconsommation et d’une société qui part à la dérive, tout ça rend Masked Enemy tout simplement explosif et passionant!

The first single Hip To Be Scared presents a special guest: Jacoby Shaddix of PAPA ROACH. If you like horror movies and metalcore you will love the video. BADFLOWER – Family
Formed in Los Angeles and now based in Nashville, BADFLOWER are back with a new album on September 24th on Big Machine / John Varvatos Records (Universal distribution).
You may already know them thanks to their excellent first album Ok, I’m sick released in 2018 and also to their 2 explosive concerts in Paris the same year at the la Maroquinerie, then at the Boule Noire.
Their alternative rock with grunge influences speaks with great sincerity of stress, insomnia, sex, sadness, pain… Loaded with these messages, their tracks (Heroin or Ghost) have often been synonymous with hits that allowed their first album to be certified gold in the USA.
To his striking, sometimes frightening confessions, singer/guitarist Josh Katz has just added the fight against climate change to his struggles. A subject that can be found in some of the 13 songs that make up this new album entitled This is How The World Ends.
For Josh, beauty must be revealed in discomfort. A lyric or guitar chord must torture the mind of the listener, teach him his own limits and, thus, perhaps, bring about change in his life.

SAINT CHAOS – Kick
Taming chaos is not an easy task… The Berlin pop-rock duo SAINT CHAOS takes up this challenge on several levels. SAINT CHAOS is Nils Brunkhorst (singer, songwriter, actor) and Phil Sunday (producer, songwriter, guitarist).
While Phil produced and wrote for bands such as Chris James, Ghostkid and Kreator, Nils appeared in many productions such as Hit Man: The Shields. Agent 47, DARK, Counterpart and FearDotCom as an actor.
The idea of starting a band came in the summer of 2018 after a collaborative songwriting session. “We try to break the boundaries of genres by combining alternative rock music with electronic beats” The duo works in a true “Do-It-Yourself” style. Everything from music production to music videos is created by the two friendly musicians.
More than 4 million streams on Spotify, 10 million clicks on YouTube and hundreds of videos using their music, and it’s not over. The size of their fanbase continues to grow. In mid-2020, the duo decided to release a new single every 6 weeks. Some of their songs are already broadcast on the radio and soon Saint Chaos will present its first album. “It’s about courage and motivation, acceptance and a positive vision of the future.”

DIRTY SHIRT – Pretty Faces

GOJIRA –The Chant

A band with curious name that you will absolutely have to listen to this summer. CHUNK! NO, CAPTAIN CHUNK! Their name is inspired by the famous 80s movie, The Goonies. Their musical style is a blend of pop punk and metalcore called “easycore”.
After 6 years of absence the Parisian band will release their fourth album Gone Are The Good Days, on July 30 at Fearless Records. The album is filled with catchy anthems that invite you to raise your fist in the air, sing and dance as if no one were watching. What positive vibes! And a little bit of nostagia!
“The album was a way for us to turn the 2020 bullshit into a better mindset,” say Bertrand Poncet the singer of the band. “To give us a better future.”

BLACK IRIS – Solaris
Here is another band from Ile-de-France : BLACK IRIS. The quintet released its first 3-track EP entitled L’Eclipse. French rock with great grunge 90’s influences and lyrics inspired from today’s contemporary themes. Approaching Collapsology, the sun as a luminous disaster, or the race to eternal youth, BLACK IRIS does not invent anything in its riffs but refines the rock sound to transform it into rock way 2021. BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE announced a new album for October! A 7th eponymous album. The 1st extract Knives is already available on all platforms. And on June 26, 2022 the Welsh quartet will perform on one of the Hellfest’s Mainstages alongside Metallica, Sabaton, Black Label Society, Avatar, BMTH… A huge come back that will leave traces … be continued.
PRIMAL AGE – The Devil is Hidden in Shadow
PRIMAL AGE marked the 90s by being among the first to mix metal and hardcore styles in Europe. The French band has an impressive touring experience with more than 700 concerts across Europe, tours in Mexico, Japan or Brazil…
