Wild Times, Live Report at Bus Palladium, Paris – 20.05.2017

Samedi dernier, les parisiens de Wild Times était de passage au Bus Palladium pour présenter leur premier EP « The Wanderers »

La petite salle n’est pas encore très remplie, quand un présentateur en veste et nœud papillon fait son apparition sur scène pour nous parler du groupe mais aussi faire quelques blagues et un Quiz cinéma (Festival de Cannes oblige).

Enfin, le quatuor arrive sur scène : Antoine B (chant et guitare) et Augustin B (Guitare et clavier) Pascal K (Basse) et Théo A (batterie) commencent le show avec des riffs de guitares énergiques. 

L’ambiance s’échauffe et les morceaux s’enchainent. Un son joyeux et dansant avec des mélodies bien construites, des rythmes entêtants qui donnent bien envie de bouger, même en petit comité.

Au cœur du set, les 3 chansons d’EP, au top The Wanderers, la chanson pleine de fraicheur et d’entrain, avec ce rythme sympathique et accrocheur qui vous reste dans la tête.

Il faut savoir que les quatre potes (Antoine et Augustin sont frères) de Wild Times ont créé leur propre Label Wild Times Records et ils ont donc gardé l’esprit rebelle et une totale liberté dans leur création. Et franchement, en écoutant le résultat, c’est tout à leur avantage.

Mélodies efficaces, guitares addictives, des textes mélancoliques et aiguisés. Un pop rock festif qu’on a envie d’entendre plus souvent. Belle découverte.

Last Saturday, The Parisians of Wild Times were introducing  their first EP “The Wanderers”. on the stage of Bus Palladium.

The small concert hall is not yet filled up when a presenter wearing jacket and bow tie made his appearance on stage to talk about the band but also to make a few jokes and ask questions about movies (Cannes film Festival requires).

Finally, the Quartet arrives on stage: Antoine B (vocals and guitar) and Augustin (guitar and keyboards), Pascal K (bass) and Theo A  (drums) start the show in Intro with energetic guitar riffs.

The atmosphere heats up, the songs came one after another. Joyful and dancing sound, well-built melodies and catchy rhythms.

In the middle of set, the 3 EP’s songs, especially The Wanderers, the song full of freshness and enthusiasm with this friendly pace that will easily rest in your head.

You should know that the four friends (Antoine and Augustin are brothers) of Wild Times have created their own label Wild Times Records that actually leave them use the rebel spirit and an entire freedom in their creation.

And honestly speaking, listening to the result, it’s only to their advantage. Effective melodies, addictive guitars, melancholic and sharpened lyrics.

A festive pop- rock, that we’d like to hear more often.
