Let’s Dance at Rock en Seine 2016

(EN) At the end of the summer, as usual, all good music Lovers, living in Paris area or elsewhere, will wander in the magnificent Park of Saint Cloud, for a mega portion of great concerts.

This year at Rock en Seine – Let’s Dance: this is the promise of the 2016 festival – a tribute to the regretted David Bowie…?

Once more, the festival absolutely overwhelmed by its brilliant line up and the main question is:

Will we have enough time and strong legs to enjoy the maximum of concerts?  The marathon between the 5 scenes and about 65 artists rock, punk, rap, electro…is announced as a major challenge.

Well, we still have all summer to relax, do some sport and afterwards attack the festival in an Olympic shape.

Here is my list of artists not to be missed from this very eclectic line-up:

The Master Iggy Pop who keeps reinvent himself, this time with a great new project Post Pop Depression.

Foals with their energetic hectic rock, on tour for the fabulous album What Went Down

The Last Shadow Puppets – one of my favourite super group in this moment formed by Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) and Miles Kane (frontman of The Rascals) with their second wonderful record Everything You’ve Come to Expect

Editors – the class and elegance of the post punk revival will transport us In Dream

The British band Bastille, so in love with France and their melodic indie pop rock– probably they will be my festival crush

Sigur Ros, the Icelanders and their minimalist sound, sleek, experimental that seems to come from another world

Then there are the Belgian rockers Ghinzu, the extravagant underground Peaches, the comeback of Sum 41, the new rap of Logic, the grace of the pop shynte of La Femme, the grunge of L7…

What else ??… The Canadians The Strumbellas and their super hit Spirits (reminding their “cousins” Arcade Fire), the French revelation duo Papooz, the Irish Two Doors Cinema Club, Soulwax, The Shins…

I’ll also need time to taste the Birdy Nam Nam’s electro and Massive Attack’s hypnotic sound.

and for sure there will be much more beautiful surprises …

Aww, this is already not bad… I am definitely looking forward.

(FR) A la fin de l’été, comme d’habitude, tout amoureux de la bonne musique, habitant de la région parisienne ou venu d’ailleurs, déambulera dans le magnifique Parc de Saint Cloud, pour une méga portion de concerts.

Cette année au festival Rock en Seine nous allons danser : Let’s dance, c’est la promesse à l’affiche de l’édition 2016 – un clin d’œil au tant regretté David Bowie… ?

Un fois de plus, le festival s’est surpassé avec une brillante programmation et la question principale reste :

Est-ce qu’on aura le temps et les jambes pour tout voir ?  Le marathon entre les 5 scènes et les environ 65 artistes rock, punk, rap, électro… s’annonce d’envergure. Il faudra vraiment bien se reposer cet été, s’entrainer un peu, histoire d’attaquer la fin août en quasi forme olympique.

Mais voilà ma sélection d’artistes à ne surtout pas manquer dans cette line up très éclectique :

Le maitre Iggy Pop qui n’arrête pas de se réinventer : cette fois avec un excellent nouveau grand projet Post Pop Depression

Foals avec leur rock énergétique effréné toujours en tournée pour l’excellent album What Went Down

Last Shadow Puppets – l’un de mes de super groupes préférés en ce moment formé par Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) et Miles Kane (frontman de The Rascals) présentent leur très bon deuxième opus Everything You’ve Come to Expect

J’aurais besoin de temps aussi pour gouter l’electro de Birdy Nam Nam et le son hypnotique de Massive Attack. Et puis, il y aura beaucoup d’autre belles surprises et découvertes.

C’est déjà pas mal, non … j’ai hâte.
