Le HEAVY WEEK‑END 2026 approche à toute vitesse. À 1 mois et demi du coup d’envoi, il est temps de plonger dans le line‑up qui fera trembler le Nancy Open‑Air les 5, 6 et 7 juin.

Pour sa troisième édition, le festival voit grand : SABATON ouvrira les hostilités vendredi, GOJIRA régnera en maître samedi, et ELECTRIC CALLBOY transformera le dimanche en explosion multicolore. Trois têtes d’affiche, trois visions du métal, trois façons de faire rugir une scène qui ne cesse de se réinventer.

Autour d’eux, une armée prête à déferler : SAVATAGE, AVANTASIA, DOMINIUM, NOVA TWINS, CAVALERA – Chaos A.D., TRIVIUM, THREE DAYS GRACE, SHAÂRGHOT … Un mélange d’icônes, de révélations et de légendes qui promet trois jours de pur chaos sonore, entre nostalgie, modernité et découvertes.

Vendredi 5 juin, avec SABATON en tête d’affiche, le retour de Savatage, le metal-opera d’Avantasia et les zombies de DOMINIUM, s’annonce comme une première journée taillée sur mesure pour les fans de heavy metal grandiose !

SABATON – Yamato

SABATON règne en maître sur le heavy metal mondial et continue à électriser la France, où ils se sont produits de nombreuses fois : du Hellfest 2022 en tête d’affiche à l’Accor Arena en 2025.

En plus de vingt ans de carrière, les Suédois ont bâti un empire : albums conceptuels inspirés d’événements historiques, shows titanesques, disques d’or, milliards de streams et tournées XXL.

Avec Legends, leur onzième album sorti en 2025, ils explorent des figures mythiques comme Jeanne d’Arc, Napoléon, Jules Cesar ou Hannibal à travers 11 titres épiques.

Toujours plus ambitieux, ils ont dévoilé récemment Yamato, single créé avec World of Warships, prolongeant l’univers de Legends avec une puissance renouvelée.

Le groupe suédois – constitué de Joakim Brodén (chant), Pär Sundström (basse), Chris Rörland (guitare), Thobbe Englund (guitare), Hannes Van Dahl (batterie) passera donc par Nancy, le 5 juin 2026, pour un show qui s’annonce explosif !

SAVATAGE – Gutter Ballet

Né en Floride au début des années 80, Savatage est devenu une force majeure du heavy metal, passant du hard rock à de véritables œuvres monumentales aux accents de musique classique. Leur son, puissant et précis, mêle textes riches, envolées lyriques, breaks instrumentaux et chœurs majestueux. Une intensité unique que le groupe sublime sur scène, où chaque performance, habitée et magistrale, rappelle pourquoi Savatage demeure une légende du genre.

Après un hiatus de 10 ans, le groupe et enfin revenue sur scène d’abord le 19 avril 2025 à Sao Paulo, Brésil au festival Monsters Of Rock, et ensuite  Europe, notamment au Hellfest 2025.

Le groupe vient d’annoncer la sortie d’un album live le 26 juin 2026, Madness Reigns From The Gutter (1990), un album enregistré en public dans le cadre la tournée “Gutter Ballet”, son œuvre de référence.

Le groupe embarquera dans une longue tournée d’été, dont le passage par le Heavy Week-end, à Nancy, sera l’une des premières dates et le seul concert du groupe en France en 2026 !

AVANTASIA – Creepshow

En près de 25 ans, AVANTASIA s’est imposé comme un pilier du rock et du metal allemand. Imaginé par Tobias Sammet, ce projet‑opéra a redéfini le metal symphonique théâtral avec ses chœurs grandioses et ses paysages sonores immersifs. Dix albums studio — dont Moonglow, n°1 en Allemagne — ont généré disques d’or, centaines de millions de streams et des concerts sold out dans le monde entier, de l’Olympia aux plus grands festivals.

Sur scène comme en studio, Sammet réunit un véritable all‑star line‑up, garant de duels de guitares et de joutes vocales mémorables. Au Heavy Weekend, Nancy deviendra le théâtre des rêves d’Avantasia.

DOMINIUM – The Dead Don’t Die

Né en 2022 à Nuremberg, DOMINIUM aligne déjà deux albums et un univers zombie totalement assumé. Inspiré par The Walking Dead et The Last of Us, le groupe débarque sur scène masqué, mené par Dr. Dead, un savant fou qui dirige sa horde de revenants.

Ambiance à la Lordi, c’est du power metal grand spectacle. Le groupe s’est aussi fait remarquer avec des reprises explosives comme Rock You Like a Hurricane, Bad Guy ou Beds Are Burning. Frissons garantis !

Samedi 6 Juin – Au sommet de sa puissance, GOJIRA va écraser la journée. NOVA TWINS ouvrent les hostilités avec leur cocktail punk‑hip‑hop‑rock sous haute tension, les frères Cavalera déchaînent ensuite un chaos primal, avant que TRIVIUM n’enfonce le clou avec riffs bulldozers et refrains taillés pour rallier les foules.

GOJIRA – Mea culpa (Ah ! Ça ira !)

Le 26 juillet 2024, quand Gojira a fait exploser “Ça ira” à la Conciergerie pour l’ouverture des JO de Paris, le groupe a changé de galaxie. Grammy en poche, notoriété mondiale… mais la vérité, c’est que Gojira dominait déjà la scène métal internationale depuis longtemps.

Vingt‑cinq ans de carrière, des tournées planétaires comme aucun autre groupe français, et un public qui ne cesse de grandir. L’été dernier à Carcassonne, ils ont offert un avant‑goût d’une tournée française annoncée comme historique, avec plus de 100 000 fans attendus.

En 2026, Joseph Duplantier – chant, guitare, Mario Duplantier – batterie, Christian Andreu – guitare et Jean-Michel Labadie – basse ouvriront pour Metallica à travers l’Europe… avant de régner en maîtres le 6 juin à Nancy, pour leur unique date française de l’année, en tête d’affiche du Heavy Week‑end.

TRIVIUM – Struck Dead

Longtemps vus comme les jeunes loups du métal, Trivium est aujourd’hui une valeur sûre : 25 ans de carrière, 10 albums et une capacité rare à réinventer le metal extrême avec mélodie, groove rock’n’roll et puissance héritée du black metal.

Peu de groupes peuvent rallier à la fois les fans de Metallica et d’Iron Maiden. Avec plus d’un million d’albums vendus, des tournées sold‑out, un demi‑milliard de streams et une nomination aux GRAMMY® Awards, le quatuor d’Orlando débarque au Heavy Weekend pour un show incandescent, riffs en rafale et refrains capables de faire vibrer l’amphithéâtre du Zenith.

CAVALERA CHAOS A.D. – Sepultura – Refuse/Resist

Les frères Cavalera reviennent en Europe pour rallumer la mèche du « chaos métallique old school »  et rappeler aux nouvelles générations d’où vient le groove metal. Les fondateurs de Sepultura joueront Chaos A.D. dans son intégralité : douze charges sonores qui, en 1993, avaient dynamité le death/thrash en y injectant punk, hardcore, industriel et rythmes brésiliens.

Après avoir revisité leurs premiers albums lors du Third World Trilogy Tour, Max et Iggor poursuivent leur retour aux sources et remettent les pendules à l’heure de Belo Horizonte. Leur credo reste intact : Refuse/Resist, plus brûlant que jamais. Etes-vous prêts pour un show de dingue à Nancy ?

NOVA TWINS – Piranha

Nova Twins enchaîne les scènes mythiques — Glastonbury, Hellfest, Rock en Seine — et ont déjà partagé l’affiche avec Foo Fighters, Muse ou Bring Me The Horizon. Adoubées par Tom Morello et Elton John, le duo originaire de Londres ouvre une nouvelle ère avec Parasites & Butterflies, un album qui dynamite les genres entre hip‑hop, punk, rock, pop et électro.

Sur scène, c’est un choc frontal : énergie brute, riffs ravageurs, flow abrasif et hooks qui collent au cerveau. La seule présence féminine sur la scène de Heavy Weekend à ne pas rater !

Dimanche 7 juin avant qu’Electric Callboy ne fasse exploser la soirée dans un tourbillon euphorique multicolore, Shaârghot ouvrira les hostilités avec son chaos cyberpunk post‑apo. Ice Nine Kills transformera ensuite le Nancy Open Air en véritable salle de cinéma horrifique, tandis que Three Days Grace enverra ses hymnes rock surpuissants pour faire monter la tension avant le final.

ELECTRIC CALLBOY – TANZNEID 

Electric Callboy incarne la mutation totale du métal moderne : guitares surboostées, pulsations techno et humour débridé qui cartonne sur YouTube. Portés par les hits percutants et une fanbase en plein boom, leurs shows multicolores, débordants d’énergie, de cœurs et de drapeaux arc‑en‑ciel, ont fait exploser leur popularité, du Hellfest aux scènes du monde entier.

Ils ont récemment annoncé la sortie d’un nouvel album TANZNEID (prévue le 7 août 2026 via Century Media Records / Sony Music) un cocktail encore plus affûté de pop, techno et breakdowns massifs. Le 7 juin au Heavy Week‑end, ils promettent un final euphorisant où joie, chaos et pogos seront loi. Et peut-être de nouveaux morceaux joués en avant-première.

THREE DAYS GRACE – Kill Me Fast

Avec Alienation, leur 8eme superbe album sorti l’année dernière, Three Days Grace ouvre un nouveau chapitre : le retour du chanteur Adam Gontier aux côtés de Matt Walst et un son plus émotionnel que jamais.

Entre ballades sombres et hymnes rock chargés de nostalgie, le groupe canadien séduit une nouvelle génération, porté par des textes intenses et une production XXL signée Howard Benson, Zakk Cervini et Dan Lancaster. ICE NINE KILLS – The Laugh Track

Originaire de Boston, Ice Nine Kills s’impose comme l’un des groupes les plus captivants du metal moderne, aussi redoutable dans le son que dans l’image. Maîtrise totale, esthétique millimétrée et mélodies qui frappent fort : INK incarne le présent comme l’avenir du genre.

En France, ils sont passés des clubs parisiens au Stade de France en première partie de Metallica et plus récemment un show archi complet à la Salle Pleyel. Sur scène, leur show théâtral, digne d’Alice Cooper ou Rob Zombie, transforme chaque concert en film d’horreur live. Après les classiques du genre, le groupe puise désormais dans les blockbusters, élargissant sans limite son terrain de jeu.

SHAÂRGHOT – LET ME OUT 

Armé de ses “Shadows”, Shaârghot dévaste la scène et repeint chaque mètre carré de noir, dans un chaos cyberpunk post‑apo totalement débridé. Créature mutante de l’indus electro‑punk, le groupe de metal industriel français, originaire de Paris, s’est forgé dans le sillage des poids lourds du genre — Little Big, Punish Yourself, Hocico, Ministry, Les Tambours du Bronx, Front 242 — avant de devenir l’une des révélations les plus explosives du moment. A unique intensity that the band sublimates on stage, where each performance, inhabited and masterful, reminds us why Savatage remains a legend of the genre.

After a 10-year hiatus, the band finally returned to the stage first on April 19, 2025 in Sao Paulo, Brazil at the Monsters Of Rock festival, and then Europe, notably at Hellfest 2025.

The band has just announced the release of a live album on June 26, 2026, Madness Reigns From The Gutter (1990), an album recorded live as part of the “Gutter Ballet” tour, its reference work.

The band will embark on a long summer tour, of which the Heavy Weekend, in Nancy, will be one of the first dates and the only concert of the band in France in 2026!

AVANTASIA – Creepshow

In almost 25 years, AVANTASIA has established itself as a pillar of German rock and metal. Imagined by Tobias Sammet, this project-opera has put the finishing touches to theatrical symphonic metal with its grandiose choirs and immersive soundscapes.

Ten studio albums — including Moonglow, No. 1 in Germany — have generated golden records, hundreds of millions of streams and sold-out concerts all over the world, from the Olympia to the biggest festivals.

On stage as well as in the studio, Sammet brings together a true all-star line-up, guaranteeing guitar duels and memorable vocal jousts. At Heavy Weekend, Nancy will become the theater of Avantasia’s dreams.

DOMINIUM – The Dead Don’t Die
