GREY DAZE Soul Song
GREY DAZE est le premier groupe de Chester Bennington formé dans les années 90, avant de faire partie du légendaire LINKIN PARK. En 2017, Chester Bennington, Sean Dowdell, Mace Beyers et Cristin Davis se sont réunis pour réformer le groupe.
Soul Song est le nouvel extrait de leur album Amends qui sortira le 26 juin. Ce morceau est interprété par Chester et son fils, Jamie, et la vidéo qui l’accompagne a été réalisé par ce dernier.
L’album regroupe 11 titres avec des inédits, des chansons réenregistrées, des rééditions de titres indisponibles depuis des années avec la bénédiction de proches de Chester tragiquement disparu en 2017.

Avec Sean Dowdell (batterie), le partenaire du regretté Chester Bennington, qui a travaillé avec le producteur Jay Baumgardner (Ugly Kid Joe, Sevendust, Papa Roach, Godsmack, P.O.D.) pour finaliser ce disque.
On y retrouve aussi différents musiciens invités à parfaire le résultat final : Brian “Head” Welch et James “Munky” Shaffer (Korn), Page Hamilton (Helmet), Chris Traynor (Bush, Helmet), Jasen Rauch (Breaking Benjamin) ou Ryan Shuck (Orgy).
AVATAR – SILENCE IN THE AGE OF APES
On vous a informé que le nouvel album d’Avatar, Hunter Gatherer sortira en août ! Voilà 1er extrait qui déchire et en plus dévoile un nouveau look pour les 5 suédois ! Exit les redingotes militaires, welcome les salopettes en cuir noir !
Quelques détails sur l’album : produit par Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Slipknot, Anthrax) aux Sphere Studios à Los Angeles, “Hunter Gatherer” est sans doute l’album le plus sombre et le plus sinistre que le groupe ait créé à ce jour, une sorte d’étude approfondie sur la cruauté, la technologie, le dédain et la privation.
Les musiciens ont travaillé sur les fondations de chaque chanson, en les interprétant d’abord “live”, ensemble, comme ils l’avaient déjà fait en 2014 pour l’album “Hail the Apocalypse”.
Cette méthode “old-school” visant à jouer “d’un seul bloc” en studio, se rapproche tout simplement de ce que le groupe fait sur scène et a ainsi permis de capturer l’essence même d’AVATAR, ce dont de briser les frontières entre groupe de métal et troupe de théâtre, avec une approche définitivement cinématographique.
Hunter Gatherer délivre de nouveaux hymnes destinés à rester ancrés dans l’esprit des fans, des missiles d’une précision terriblement efficace qui ciblent un public en attente de nouvelles sensations fortes et d’un groupe capable de tous les rallier à sa cause.
“Silence in the Age of Apes” est le point de départ d’une longue campagne pendant laquelle AVATAR va tout mettre en œuvre pour envoûter un public encore plus large en France !A voir en concert avec Iron Maiden en 2021 !
TETRARCH – I’m Not Right
Voilà une excellente découverte ! Originaire de d’Atlanta, mais désormais basé à Los-Angeles, TETRARCH s’est fait connaitre en 2017 avec l’album “Freak”.
Leur deuxième album, Unstable sortira cet automne mais vous pouvez découvrir un 1er extrait, I’m Not Right, extrêmement puissant et efficace.
Co-produit par Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Allegeon, Khemmis) et les musiciens eux-mêmes, Unstable est un mélange de riffs lourds et intenses, de sombres vibrations et de chœurs rapidement obsédants, à même de mettre K.O plus d’un fan de musique H.E.A.V.Y !
Le nom du groupe s’inspire de celui d’un char de combat utilisé par les anglais au cours de la seconde guerre mondiale.
TOYBLOID – Sunrise
Connaissez-vous TOYBLOID, le trio rock explosif made in France ? Véritable tornade auditive, le groupe (Lou, Madeleine et Greg) nous met plein les oreilles avec une énergie débordante et un rock brut, modern et efficace.
Leur nouvelle vidéo de Sunrise a totalisé déjà + de 57000 vues sur Youtube en 1 semaine après sa sortie et leur nouvel album ” Modern Love ” arrive le 26 juin prochain.
Un concert est prévu pour le 16 septembre 2020 à la Maroquinerie – Paris.
WITHIN TEMPTATION– Entertain You
Le mois dernier on a pu découvrir le single, voilà la vidéo et quelques mots du groupe à son sujet.
“A final chacun aura sa propre idée du sens de cette chanson et des images qui illustrent cette vidéo. A ce qui nous concerne, notre inspiration vient de la façon dont nous traitons certains groupes d’individus qui ne s’inscrivent pas forcément dans les règles de “notre” société. Nous n’hésitons pas à souligner à quel point ils ne s’intègrent pas, peut-être pour que nous puissions nous sentir mieux.
Nous commençons par les dénigrer, et tentons de les “coincer” de toutes sortes de façons…Aujourd’hui, la première réaction de nombreuses personnes est de filmer un incident au lieu de porter secours à quelqu’un.
Ces gens ne sont pas là pour nous divertir. Il serait temps de réfléchir un peu plus sur nos actes, de se demander pourquoi nous agissons ainsi et d’envisager quelles conséquences notre attitude à sur les autres.

HELL OF A RIDE – N.G.U.N.S. (Never Give Up Never Surrender)
J’ai beaucoup de choses à vous raconter sur le groupe de métal français, Hell of a Ride et leur album Nine of Cups, car j’ai eu le plaisir de discuter avec Noré, leur guitariste. IGORRR – Downgrade Desert
Piste d’ouverture du quatrième album du français Gautier Serre et son étonnant projet Igorrr intitulé Spirituality and Distortion, le titre Downgrade Desert nous emmène au cœur du désert. Grands espaces, météorite et intro toute en apothéose…
Spirituality and Distortion est disponible depuis le 27 Mars dernier via Metal Blade Records. L’œuvre, qui se conçoit comme un tout, a été enregistré au Improve Tone Studio. Elle voit la participation de nombreux guests et musiciens tels que George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher (Cannibal Corpse), Mike Leon (Soulfly, ex-Havok), le pianiste Matt Lebofsky mais également de plusieurs voix comme celle de Laure Le Prunenec ou de Pierre Lacasa.
Tout comme Savage Sinusoid (2017), son prédécesseur, Spirituality And Distortion n’est pas un disque d’électro ou de métal, il voit bien plus loin que les carcans de genres et de styles. “Je trouve que s’enfermer dans une seule émotion est très ennuyant ; la vie n’est qu’une pluralité d’émotions – parfois tu es heureux, parfois tu es triste, d’autres fois tu es en colère, nostalgique, abattu ou tu en as tout simplement ras le bol. La vie n’est pas monochrome. Ces quatorze titres sont un voyage à travers les différents états d’esprit par lesquels j’ai pu passer”. (Gautier Serre)
Si sur scène Igorrr se produit sous la forme d’un duo de vocalistes et d’un batteur, Igorrr est avant tout l’oeuvre de Gautier Serre. Musicien, compositeur et producteur, Gautier Serre mélange de nombreux genres musicaux aussi disparates puissent-ils être : du black metal au breakcore en passant par le baroque, la musique classique et le death metal.

NEEDLE SHARP – Dark Lies Effects
Des riffs percutants et une chanteuse à la voix explosive, Needle Sharp nous délivre un rock puissant et enragé. GREY DAZE Soul Song

AVATAR – SILENCE IN THE AGE OF APES
You know already that Avatar‘s new album, Hunter Gatherer, will be released in August!
Here’s the first single that totally killing it and unveils a new look for the Swedish 5! Exit the military frock coats, welcome the black leather overalls!
Some details about the album: produced by Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Slipknot, Anthrax) at Sphere Studios in Los Angeles, “Hunter Gatherer” is definitely the darkest and most sinister album that the band has created till now, a kind of in-depth study of cruelty, technology, disdain and deprivation. The musicians worked on the foundations of each song, first performing them “live” together, as they had already done in 2014 for the album “Hail the Apocalypse”.
This “old-school” method of playing “one block” in the studio, is simply akin to what the band does on stage and has thus captured the essence of AVATAR, which breaks the boundaries between metal band and theatre company, with a definitively cinematic approach.
Hunter Gatherer delivers new anthems designed to stay in the minds of fans, missiles of terribly effective precision that target an audience waiting for new thrills and a group capable of rallying them all to its cause. Silence in the Age of Apes is the starting point of a long campaign during which AVATAR will do everything possible to captivate an even wider audience in France! To see in live concert with Iron Maiden in 2021!
TETRARCH – I’m Not Right
This is a great discovery! Originally from Atlanta but now based in Los Angeles, TETRARCH become known in 2017 with the album Freak. Their second album, Unstable will be released this fall but you can discover the first single, I’m Not Right, extremely powerful and effective. Co-produced by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Allegeon, Khemmis) and the musicians themselves, Unstable is a mix of heavy and intense riffs, dark vibrations and quickly haunting choruses, able to knock out more than one H.E.A.V.Y music fan! The name of the band is inspired by that of a battle tank used by the English Army during the Second World War.
TOYBLOID – Sunrise
Do you know TOYBLOID, the explosive rock trio made in France? A veritable tornado, the band (Lou, Madeleine and Greg) deliver an overflowing energy and a raw, modern, effective rock. Their new video SUNRISE had 57,000 views on Youtube only 1 week after its release. Their new album Modern Love is out on June 26th. A concert is scheduled for September 16, 2020 at the Maroquinerie in Paris.

As far as we are concerned, our inspiration comes from the way we treat certain groups of individuals who do not necessarily fit into the rules of “our” society. We do not hesitate to point out how much they do not fit in, perhaps so that we can feel better. We start by denigrating them, and try to “catch” them in all sorts of ways… Today, the first reaction of many people is to film an incident instead of rescuing someone.
These people are not here to entertain us. It is time to reflect a little more on our actions, to ask why we are doing this and to consider what consequences our attitude to others.

Igorrr – Downgrade Desert
Gautier Serre and his amazing project Igorrr release Downgrade Desert, a video clip from the album Spirituality and Distortion. The opening track of the French band fourth album takes us to the heart of the desert. Large spaces, meteorite and intro all in apotheosis …
Spirituality and Distortion is available since March 27 via Metal Blade Records. The album which is conceived as a whole, was recorded at the Improve Tone Studio. The group Silence Of The Abyss, straight from Corsica, takes us into the depths of an organic universe with Mediterranean accents. After their self-titled debut EP released in 2017, the band released their debut album “Unase – Unfairness”. Check out the clip confined to the song Lunar from this album.

With hard-hitting riffs and an explosive-voiced singer, Needle Sharp delivers powerful and rabid rock. MUZZ- Knuckleduster
New MUZZ’s song before the release of their eponymous album tomorrow, 5th of June. Knuckleduster is the most Interpolesque title among those unveiled so far and my favourite.
