Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable by Damien Hirst, Venice – Italy – Best of Exhibitions 2017

The Warrior and the Bear, Bronze
Hydra and Kali, Bronze

The most incredible and fantastic exhibition of 2017 was Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable by Damien Hirst at Palazzo Grassi and Punta Della Dogana, in Venice, Italy

Conceived as an imaginary journey around a supposed legendary ship wreck discovered buried in the Pacific Ocean in 2008, the exhibition displayed hundreds of amazing objects in gold, marble, crystal or bronze supposed to be dated of 2000 years ago.

Gigantic sculptures, sphinxes, pharaohs, warriors sometimes looking quite familiar like Pharrell Williams or Rihanna, cartoons characters, looking like Mickey Mouse, Dingo or abstract forms coming from the genius Hirst’s imagination…  a spectacular show of a life time.

Hopefully, we will be able to see it again anywhere on Planet Earth …Here the pictures.
