Monday night, Imagine Dragons shook the Zenith of Paris with their energetic rock and good vibes.
Ultra sold out since long time ago, their 4th French show to promote their new album Smoke and Mirrors burst of power, energy and emotion.
Frankly speaking, it missed only that these Dragons come straight from the very far earldom of Las Vegas, start to breathe fire…
Dan Reynolds (singer), Wayne Sermon (guitar), Ben McKee (bass) and Dan Platzman (drums) have delighted the Parisian public heated up at maximum with their incredible dynamism and sincerity in a very minimalist stage decoration, obviously with gigantic Mirrors and lot of Smoke.
They have alternated songs from their debut album, «Night Visions» worldwide big success since its release in 2012 and their great second album Smoke and Mirrors : Shots, Demons, Polaroid, Roots, I Bet My life, It’s time, I am so sorry, Gold...almost everything was on the menu.
… And of course, the apocalyptic final: a nuclear Radioactive version followed by The Fall, under a confetti rain evoking the golden trees.
Dan Reynolds is constantly moving, he is an electrical battery, and his communicative enthusiasm motivates everybody: teenagers or adults jump, sing, dance in a very very hot atmosphere.
Guitars, bass & furious drums dotted by a few moments of calm as an a capella Warriors & Bleeding out or the beautiful Alphaville’s cover, Forever Young sung together with a conquered audience…
A very touching moment: Dan’s speech on the suffering and the despair of the war refugees that he had met, followed by the poignant interpretation of their song dedicated to them “I was me”. Bravo Gentlemen!
In summary, seriously, these 4 Dragons brought the public On the top of the world…
Well, the fact is that I still do not know what means the anagram Imagine Dragons…
But, everybody knows that the secret is well kept in Las Vegas
– What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas-
so there is not much hope to find it out quickly …maybe a hint will be unveiled for the third album…we never know …
Ah, yes, I do not have forget the excellent show Sunset Sons , a very effective first part show that I hope to see again soon.
Lundi soir, Imagine Dragons ont fait trembler le Zenith de Paris avec leur rock énergétique et leur bonne humeur.
Ultra complet depuis longtemps, leur 4eme show français pour de la promotion de l’album Smoke and Mirrors a débordé de puissance, d’énergie et d’émotion. Honnêtement, il ne manquait plus que ces Dragons venus du très loin comté de Las Vegas se mettent à cracher du feu …
Dans un décor minimaliste, évidement très miroirs gigantesques et beaucoup de fumées : Dan Reynolds (chanteur), Wayne Sermon (Guitare), Ben McKee( basse) et Dan Platzman(batterie) ont régalé le public parisien chauffé au maximum avec leur incroyable dynamisme et sincérité.
Ils ont alterné les chansons de leur premier album « Night Visions » succès mondial depuis sa sortie en 2012 et leur deuxième opus Smoke and Mirrors, encore plus excellent : Shots, Demons, Polaroid, Roots,I Bet My life, It’s time,I’m so sorry, Gold …presque tout était au menu.
…et bien sur le final apocalyptique avec une Radioactive complètement nucléaire et The Fall , en encore, sous une pluie de confettis.
Dan Reynolds ne tient pas en place, il a une pèche denfer, c’est une pile électrique, son enthousiasme motive tout le monde : des jeunes et des moins jeunes sautent, chantent, dansent dans une ambiance très très hot.
Guitares, bass & percussions furieuses parsemés de quelques moments d’accalmie comme les Bleeding out & Warriors interprétées à capella ou la très belle reprise de Forever Young d’Alphaville chantée en choeur avec l’audience conquise.
Beaucoup d’émotion pendant le discours sur la souffrance et le désespoir des refugiés de la guerre que Dan Reynolds a eu occasion de rencontrer, suivi de linterprétation poignante de la chanson « I was me » écrite pour eux. Bravo Messieurs!
En résumé, les 4 Dragons ont franchement ramené le public On the top of the world …
Bon, le fait est que je ne sais toujours pas ce que signifié l’anagramme Imagine Dragons…
Mais comme on sait très bien que le secret est jalousement gardé à Las Vegas ,

il n’y a pas beaucoup d’espoir de apprendre bientôt ou peut être un indice sera dévoilé pour le troisième album…
Ah, oui , et il ne faut pas oublier excellent show de Sunset Sons, la première partie très efficace que j’espère revoir bientôt.
