It’s been quite a while that I was trying to find a good Afternoon Tea in Paris.
I tried many of them, some were good, but never sufficient to equal the fabulous Afternoon tea at Claridge’s Hotel in London.
Few days ago, I tested the one proposed Shangri – La Hotel, in Paris and I can finally tell that I found the BEST “tea time” in Paris. This quite new hotel is situated Place de Iena, View on Eiffel Tower just in front of Musée Guimet – the National French Museum of Asian Arts in Paris.
Really, the perfect relaxation after a visit to the museum.
The afternoon tea moment is proposed in one of the hotel’s restaurants, Bauhinia.
Situated, in the heart of this beautiful hotel, under a stunning glass cupola and a Murano chandelier, Bauhinia is an elegant round big space which reminds the Asian Roots of Shangri-La hotels.
Full, but not crowded, the ambience that afternoon was very nice, with piano music.
The selection of finger sandwiches, sweet delicate pastries and scones is just FANTASTIC !!!
Super delicious and generous!!!
And all these accompanied by an impressive selections of teas: Blue, Black, White or Green from China or India, flavoured or not as well as several herbal teas.
Served on fine china cups, these perfumes gave us the impression to travel far far away .The service is excellent and attentive.
I would say that this was a really Unforgettable Experience that I can’t wait to do it again.

Cela faisait longtemps que je cherchais le bon 5 o’clock tea à Paris .
J’en ai testé pas mal d’endroits sympa, mais jamais à la hauteur du fabuleux Afternoon Tea au Claridge ‘s Hôtel à Londres.
Il y a quelques jours, j’ai enfin testé celui proposé par l’Hôtel Shangri – La et je peux dire que j’ai finalement trouvé mon meilleur Afternoon-Tea de Paris. Cet Hôtel situé Place de Iena à Paris , vue sur la Tour Eiffel est juste en face de Musée Guimet – le Musée National français d’arts Asiatiques, donc vraiment le plan parfait pour une pause après la visite du musée .
Le Tea Time est proposé dans l’un des restaurants de l’Hôtel – le Bauhinia. Situé au cœur de l’hôtel dans une salle ronde sous une imposante verrière et un magnifique candélabre Murano, Bauhinia est un lieu élégant et discret qui rappelle les racines asiatiques des hôtels Shangri –La.
Complet, mais pas bondé, l’ambiance, sous un fond de piano, était calme cet après-midi là.
La sélection de petits sandwiches, pâtisseries délicates et fameux scones est juste FANTASTIQUE !!! Super délicieuse et généreuse !!!
Le tout accompagné par une sélection impressionnante de thés : bleus, noirs, blancs ou vertes venus de Chine ou d’Inde, aromatisés ou pas, ainsi que des infusions. Servis dans de jolies tasses en porcelaine, ces saveurs nous donnent l’impression de voyager. Le service est excellent et attentif .
Voilà une inoubliable expérience que je serais prête à renouveler rapidement.
