ELECTRIC PYRAMID – Lovely Show in Paris, Café de la Danse-23.05.2025-Review

Si nous avons découvert ELECTRIC PYRAMID live, en première partie du spectacle «Queen Extravaganza», en mars dernier, le groupe nous a convié le 23 mai 2025, au Café de la Danse à Paris, cette fois pour un concert en tête d’affiche qui fêtait la sortie internationale de leur nouvel album, LION.

La soirée démarre vers 20h avec une très belle découverte : ROXANE. Accompagnée par une guitare acoustique, la jeune chanteuse autrice compositrice suisse conquis rapidement l’audience.

Sa magnifique voix soul, pure et puissante résonne dans la jolie petite salle du 11 -ème arrondissement qui se remplie doucement.

Les sonorités rock folk jazzy, les belles mélodies, douces et raffinés et sa présence scénique statique et élégante dégagent beaucoup d’émotion. Il y a de la magie dans l’air ! Des applaudissements chaleureux se font entendre après chaque morceau.

On retient quelques titres : No good for me, Toxic, Black Swan ainsi que son dernier single très dynamique, Rain On My Parade, sorti en avril 2025. Une artiste à suivre de très prés.

Petite pause et c’est le tour ELECTRIC PYRAMID d’entrer en scène avec un titre dans l’esprit classic Rock ‘N’ Roll, Lone Runner extrait de leur premier album éponyme sorti en 2021, suivi de Kihim Rising, extrait du même album. Un début de concert ensorcèlent et très rythmé qui fait monter rapidement la température dans la salle, désormais quasi remplie.

Le leader du groupe, Ol Beach, est entouré par deux guitarises (Linus Taylor et Fabio Zini), un bassiste, deux choristes (Gin Lauren et Molly McQueen) et un batteur (Chris Brice).

Les premières chansons de LION, l’électrisant Mindful Eye et le groovy Supersize arrivent enfin. C’est énergique, mélodique et accrocheur. Sur scène, les musiciens sont heureux et affichent une belle complicité. C’est un véritable « grand groupe d’amis qui jouent ensemble » comme nous expliquait Ol dans notre interview.

Sa voix chaude et mélodique, légèrement rauque est très agréable. De temps en temps, il attrape sa guitare acoustique ou le tambourin pour accompagner ses talentueux acolytes.

Souriant et très sympathique, Ol s’adresse souvent au public s’exprimant dans un français parfait, car il a longtemps vécu en Suisse.

Le set list continue à dérouler un mélange l’anciens morceaux avec des nouveaux, notamment la belle ballade Rob the Man et le superbe et atmosphérique LIONS.

Leur énergie contagieuse repend de good vibes et l’audience est de plus en plus réceptive. Les bras levés se balancent dans le rythme, beaucoup fredonnent et se déhanchent, sourires aux lèvres. La bonne humeur règne.

Vers le milieu, le concert prend une tournure un peu différente, car l’une de choristes, Gin Lauren, s’empare du micro alors qu’Ol s’installe au clavier. Elle va interpréter 5 morceaux de son propre répertoire dans un registre beaucoup plus pop. L’émouvante Human Race attirera notre attention.

Après cet interlude, Ol revient à la voix pour interpréter notamment trois autres extraits du nouvel album : HIGH FLYING KIND, LAND OF GHOSTS, DEVIL EYES. L’excellent One Go fera aussi partie de cette fin de concert.

Le rappel sera constitué de 3 chansons efficaces : Silver Screens, River et l’hymne Diorama, beau moment de communion avec le public, car un groupe d’adolescentes va monter sur la scène.

Ce soir à Paris, ELECTRIC PYRAMID nous offre un concert électrisant et immersif mené par des excellents musiciens pleins de générosité et de bonne humeur, dans une ambiance chaleureuse very feel good.

Du rock énergique, vintage et moderne en même temps, portée par des guitares aériennes et des rythmiques entêtantes, des belles mélodies lumineuses et des refrains fédérateurs, ELECTRIC PYRAMID nous inflige une bonne dose de joie et de d’optimisme.

Une parenthèse enchantée que l’audience de tous les âges a appréciée. BRAVO et Merci!

If we discovered ELECTRIC PYRAMID live, as opening act of the show “Queen Extravaganza”, last March, the band invited us on May 23, 2025, at the Café de la Danse in Paris, this time for a headlining concert that celebrated the international release of their new album, LION.

The evening starts around 8 p.m. with a very nice discovery: ROXANE. Accompanied by an acoustic guitar, the young Swiss singer -songwriter quickly won over the audience.

Her magnificent soulful voice, pure and powerful, resonates in the pretty little room which is slowly filling up.

The jazzy folk rock sounds, the beautiful, soft and refined melodies and her static and elegant stage presence exude a lot of emotion. There’s magic in the air! Warm applause is heard after each track.

We keep in mind some songs: No good for me, Toxic, Black Swan as well as her latest very dynamic single, Rain On My Parade, released in April 2025. An artist to follow very closely.

A short break and it’ s ELECTRIC PYRAMID’s turn to take the stage with a Rock ‘N’ Roll track, Lone Runner from their first self-titled album released in 2021 which is followed by Kihim Rising, from the same album. A bewitching and very rhythmic introduction that raises the temperature in the room, now almost full.

The band’s frontman, Ol Beach, is surrounded by two guitarists (Linus Taylor and Fabio Zini), a bassist, two backup singers (Gin Lauren and Molly McQueen) and a drummer (Chris Brice).

The first songs of LION, the electrifying Mindful Eye and the groovy Supersize finally arrive. It’s energetic, melodic and catchy. On stage, the musicians are happy and show a beautiful complicity. It’s like a real “big group of friends who play together” as Ol explained to us in our interview.

His warm and melodic, slightly hoarse voice is very pleasant. From time to time, he grabs his acoustic guitar or the tambourine to accompany his talented musicians.

Smiling and very friendly, Ol often addresses the audience in perfect French, as he has lived in Switzerland for a long time.

The set list continues to mix old songs with new ones, including the beautiful ballad Rob the Man and the superb and atmospheric LIONS.

Their contagious energy spreads good vibes and the audience is more and more receptive. Arms raised sway in the rhythm, many hum and sway with smiles on their faces. Good humor reigns.

Towards the middle, the concert takes a slightly different turn, as one of the backup singers, Gin Lauren, takes the microphone while Ol sits down at the keyboard. She will perform 5 songs from her own repertoire in a much more pop register. The moving Human Race will catch our attention.

After this interlude, Ol returns to the voice to perform three other titles from the new album: HIGH FLYING KIND, LAND OF GHOSTS, DEVIL EYES. The excellent One Go will also be part of this end of the concert.

The encore will be made up of 3 effective songs: Silver Screens, River and the anthem Diorama when a group of teenage girls will go on stage and dance in communion with the musicians.

Tonight, in Paris, ELECTRIC PYRAMID offers us an electrifying and immersive concert, led by excellent musicians full of generosity and good humor, in a warm feel-good atmosphere.

Energetic, classic vintage but modern rock at the same time, carried by airy guitars and heady rhythms, beautiful luminous melodies and unifying choruses, ELECTRIC PYRAMID inflicts a good dose of joy and optimism.

An enchanted interlude that the audience of all ages appreciated. BRAVO and Thank you!
