DEAD POET SOCIETY feat. THE WARNING – HURT

Après avoir créé la sensation en sortant, en mars 2021, “-!-” (prononcez ‘The exclamation album’), DEAD POET SOCIETY a sorti  FISSION en 2024, un disque explosif, bourré d’adrénaline, un mélange efficace de new-wave subtile des 80’s et de rock alternatif furieux avec des refrains entêtants, des riffs ravageurs, des mélodies accrocheuses et un chant révolté.

Les américains se sont produit plusieurs fois à Paris, à chaque fois dans des de concerts “clubs”, archis complets, ont fait un passage remarqué à Rock En Seine 2024, et aussi à la télé française dans l’émission Taratata.

La semaine dernière DEAD POET SOCIETY a dévoilé une nouvelle version de la chanson Hurt, chanson qu’on retrouve sur FISSION, un morceau spécialement réenregistré en collaboration avec THE WARNING, le groupe mexicain phénomène composé des trois sœurs Villarreal, originaires de Monterrey, qui se produira le 14 avril à l’Olympia ! Ecoutez et regardez cette chanson dynamite !

Les 2 groupes se produiront au Hellfest au mois de juin ! THE WARNING le 20 Juin et DEAD POET SOCIETY le 22 Juin !

ARCHITECTS – Whiplash

Si ARCHITECTS vient de terminer une courte, mais ultra efficace tournée française « en province » le groupe anglais annonce son retour à Paris, à l’Adidas Arena le 29 septembre 2025.

Avec leur nouvel album The Sky, The Earth & All Between, sorti le 28 février, véritable déluge sonore de metalcore ultra puissant doté de mélodies aériennes et des refrains addictifs, le groupe anglais poursuit son ascension stratosphérique, s’imposant comme l’un des groupes de rock les plus importants à émerger du Royaume-Uni.

Un concert à ne pas manquer ! Les places sont déjà disponibles !

STORM ORCHESTRA – Superplayer

Maxime Goudard (chant, guitare), Adrien Richard (basse, claviers, chœurs) et Loïc Fouquet (batterie) les trois musiciens originaires de la région parisienne forment ensemble STORM ORCHESTRA.

Des refrains catchy, des cadences groovy, des riffs élégants et ravageurs et une section rythmique fracassante, leur musique semble conçue pour les stades, alors qu’elle est avant tout faite pour communiquer avec les gens. S’il fallait la comparer, disons qu’elle allie la contagiosité d’un Nothing But Thieves avec la force motrice captivante d’un Royal Blood et l’ambition mélodique d’un Muse.

Avant de vous parler en détails de leur album Get Better qui sortira le 11 avril, écoutez Superplayer et je vous garantis que vous allez avoir un Grand Coup de Cœur !

Ils se produiront à l’Olympia le 14 avril en ouverture de The Warning et ensuite, ils partiront en tournée à travers l’Europe en première partie de Royal Republic.

GHOST – Satanized

Après le film passionnant Rite Here Rite Now, on attendait avec impatience des nouvelles de la Clergerie !  Vous avez compris, on parle de GHOST ! Voilà donc que le groupe suédois annonce son nouvel album, Skeletá, en révélant une première chanson Satanized et qui en même temps nous révèle le visage de Papa V Perpetua, son nouveau leader !

Produit par Gene Walker et mixé par Andy Wallace et Dan Malsch, Skeletá, sixième psaume de GHOST, est l’œuvre la plus radicalement introspective du groupe à ce jour.

Les précédents albums de GHOST chroniquaient et/ou observaient des événements extérieurs — à l’image des méditations de Impera sur l’ascension et la chute des empires ou l’évocations des ravages des fléaux historiques de Prequelle, son prédécesseur — les textes de Skeletá , eux, exposent une par une, les émotions individuelles de ses dix chansons tranchantes, parfois à la manière d’un dialogue avec soi-même face à un miroir. Il en résulte un ensemble singulier de sentiments intemporels et universels, filtrés à travers un prisme résolument unique dont on découvre, savoure et apprécie toutes les subtilités écoute après écoute…

Une superbe mélodie, des riff tranchants, un refrain facile‘ à retenir Satanized remplis tous le codesqui caractérisent le son habituel de GHOST !

Si la chanson semble parler de la lutte contre nos démons intérieurs, la vidéo qui l’accompagne utilise une imagerie religieuse, la confession d’un moine entouré de nones et d’autres ecclésiastiques !

À la fin de la vidéo, Papa V et les Nameless Goules sont révélés et on découvre des éblouissants nouveaux costumes et maquillages qu’on aura peut-être l’occasion de voir sur scène.

Skeletá sera donc disponible le 25 avril chez Loma Vista Recordings et quelques jours après la sortie de l’album, GHOST donnera 3 concerts France : samedi 26 avril 2025 – Lyon / LDLC Arena, dimanche 27 avril 2025 – Toulouse / Zénith, mardi 13 mai 2025. Paris / Accor Arena.

URNE – Throes of Grief ft. Tim Öhrström

Nous avons adoré URNE en 1ère partie de la tournée d’Avatar, nous continuons donc de suivre leur parcours. Voilà donc que le groupe londonien vient de sortir Throes of Grief , un nouveau titre doublé d’une reprise de Black Sabbath « I »

Alors que Throes of Grief comprend un solo de guitare signé Tim Öhrström d’Avatar, « I » est une reprise d’un titre de Black Sabbath datant de l’époque où Ronnie James Dio avait réintégré le groupe.

Fraichement passé du label Candlelight à Spinefarm Records, les anglais semblent bien décidés à redéfinir le monde du métal épique et du pouvoir sacré des riffs.

Après deux albums studios – Serpent And Spirit (2021) & A Feast On Sorrow (2023, produit par Joe Duplantier de Gojira) et de tournées comprenant des apparitions dans de nombreux festivals, URNE est plus que jamais prêt à défendre l’approche heavy de sa musique en ayant les yeux rivés sur l’avenir.

 « Lorsque j’ai commencé à écrire ‘Throes Of Grief’, j’écoutais beaucoup Countdown to Extinction de Megadeth » explique Joe Nally, chanteur et bassite du groupe « c’est sans doute pour ça que j’ai senti que ce morceau avait besoin d’un solo qui soit exécuté par un tueur. On a donc demandé que notre pote Tim Öhrström, que l’on avait rencontré lors de la tournée française avec Avatar. Il a un style tellement cool et unique qui colle parfaitement à ce que je voulais » et le bassiste / chanteur de poursuivre « Sur ces nouveaux morceaux nous nous amusons à rendre hommage à ceux qui ont ouvert la voie à des groupes comme le nôtre.

I est une chanson que je voulais reprendre depuis longtemps. C’est l’un des titres les plus heavy de Black Sabbath. Au niveau des paroles et de la voix, c’est Dio dans sa forme la plus diabolique et la plus méchante. Vocalement, personne ne peut prétendre être dans la même division que lui, j’ai donc dû aborder le chant d’une manière différente. C’était un défi qui, pour moi, a vraiment changé la donne sur le plan vocal. Cela fait bientôt 15 ans que Ronnie James Dio nous a quittés, mais c’est impossible de l’oublier. Cette reprise est notre façon de lui rendre hommage et de le remercier pour sa musique »

Avec ces deux nouveaux morceaux, un tout nouveau chapitre de l’histoire d’URNE est en train de s’ouvrir…

BILLY IDOL – Still Dancing

Si nous avons pu voir Billy Idol avec Generation Sex, formé de membres de Generation X, son ancien groupe, et des Sex Pistols au Hellfest 2023 et en première partie de Guns N’Roses à Paris la même année, nous attendons des nouvelles sur une nouvel album avec impacience.

Et voilà qu’en fin, plus de 10 ans après Kings & Queens of the Underground, l’artiste britannique annonce la sortie d’un nouvel album pour le 25 avril ! Intitulé Dream Into It, il retrace le parcours riche et profondément personnel de Billy, ce jeune punk rêveur qui devient une icône de MTV gantée de cuir.

Succès, hauts, bas, overdoses, et autres accidents bien connus, tout est passé en revue pour aboutir sur le constat honnête et dévastateur du prix de la célébrité, puis de la sagesse que l’on acquiert en se reprenant en main et en embrassant sa famille.

Et même si Dream Into It raconte une histoire, c’est aussi, morceau après morceau, une odyssée rock punk/pop, old school/new school, tout à fait saisissante, comme seul Billy Idol et son guitariste/collaborateur de longue date Steve Stevens savent en créer, avec l’assistance avisée du producteur Tommy English et la participation de Joan Jett, Avril Lavigne et d’Alison Mosshart (The Kills).

SAXON – Eagles Over Hellfest

In 1984, 1985 et 1986, SAXON, alors au pic de sa popularité, s’est produit trois années de suite au Zénith de Paris ! C’était à la grande époque des albums Crusader, Innocence Is No Excuse et Rock The Nations. Chaque soir, l’aigle emblématique du groupe, celui qui ornait la pochette de l’album Wheels of Steel, puis de ceux qui l’ont suivi, avait majestueusement plané sur ces concerts inoubliables.

40 ans plus tard, SAXON sera donc enfin de retour, en tête d’affiche, au Zénith de la Porte de la Villette, mais aussi à ceux de Nantes et Toulouse, pour offrir à ses fans français son show “Castles & Eagles”, dont la version “courte” avait ravi le public du Hellfest en juin dernier. Un spectacle qui reprend tous les codes des fameux concerts des années 80, tant au niveau du choix de chansons que des décorations. De “Strong Arm Of The Law” à “Power & The Glory” en passant par “Denim And Leather” jusqu’au p’tit dernier “Hell, Fire And Damnation“, tous les grands albums de SAXON seront passés en revue sous l’oeil bienveillant de cet aigle d’acier éclairé de mille feux, symbole inaltérable d’une carrière exemplaire entièrement dévouée au Heavy Metal.

“Ça va être épique de refaire voler l’aigle au Zénith de Paris 40 ans plus tard, a déclaré avec enthousiasme le chanteur Biff Byford, et la setlist va être dingue !”

Pour ces trois concerts exclusifs, SAXON sera accompagné de SORTILÈGE, LE groupe de “heavy metal made in France” des années 80, qui lui aussi poursuit son chemin de façon indéfectible en donnant à son répertoire un second souffle des plus excitants. 

Les 11, 12 et 13 septembre 2025, à Paris, Nantes et Toulouse, SAXON & SORTILEGE donnent rendez-vous à toutes les générations d’amateurs de Heavy Metal, afin de célébrer ensemble cette musique qui rythme leur vie depuis, pour certains, plus de 4 décennies.

Pour l’occasion, SAXON sortira, le 13 juin 2025, “Eagles Over Hellfest” via le label Silver Lining Music qui présentera l’enregistrement audio de leur désormais fameux show donné au Hellfest en  2024, juste après Metallica. Cet album live sera disponible en bonus de la version double CD de “Hell, Fire And Damnation”, le dernier opus de SAXON en date. LENNY KRAVITZ – Are You Gonna Go My Way

Grandiose! Outstanding ! Inoubliable ! Electrisant ! Les superlatives sont nombreux pour décrire le concert de Lenny Kravitz le 29 Mars à La Défense Arena, un concert de plus de deux heures devant 40000 personnes !

Avalanche de hits, des riffs, d’énergie, de sexiness et de Love beaucoup de Love! Scénographie impressionnante : écrans géants, de jets des flammes et une pluie de confettis. Des  musiciens au top, mention spéciale pour le l’excellent guitar hero Craig Ross, “la plus longue relation de sa vie” comme s’amuse à nous dire Lenny ! 

Une bonne occasion pour se repencher sur sa discographie, par example, l’album Are You Gonna Go My Way sorti en 1993.

DEAD POET SOCIETY feat. THE WARNING – HURT

After creating a sensation by releasing “-!-” (pronounced ‘The exclamation album’) in March 2021, DEAD POET SOCIETY released FISSION in 2024, an explosive, adrenaline-filled record, an effective mix of subtle 80’s new-wave and furious alternative rock with catchy choruses, devastating riffs, huge melodies and rebellious vocals.

The Americans have performed several times in Paris, each time in “club” concerts, sold out, have made a remarkable appearance at Rock En Seine 2024, and also on French TV in the show Taratata.

Last week DEAD POET SOCIETY unveiled a new version of the song Hurt, a song that can be found on FISSION, a track specially re-recorded in collaboration with THE WARNING, the Mexican phenomenon band composed of the three Villarreal sisters, originally from Monterrey, who will perform on April 14th at the Olympia!

GHOST – Satanized

After the exciting film Rite Here Rite Now, we were impatiently waiting for news from the Clergerie!  You understood, we’re talking about GHOST! So here is the Swedish band announcing its new album, Skeletá, by revealing a first song Satanized and which at the same time reveals the face of Papa V Perpetua, its new leader!  Produced by Gene Walker and mixed by Andy Wallace and Dan Malsch, Skeletá, GHOST’s sixth psalm, is the band’s most radically introspective work to date.

GHOST’s previous albums chronicled and/or observed external events — like Impera’s meditations on the rise and fall of empires or the evocation of the ravages of the historical plagues of Prequelle, his predecessor — Skeletá‘s lyrics expose one by one, the individual emotions of his ten sharp songs, sometimes in the manner of a dialogue with oneself in front of a mirror.

The result is a singular set of timeless and universal feelings, filtered through a resolutely unique prism whose subtleties we discover, savor and appreciate all the subtleties listen after listen…

A superb melody, sharp riffs, an easy-to-remember chorus Satanized fills all the codes that characterize the usual sound of GHOST!

While the song seems to be about fighting our inner demons, the accompanying video uses religious imagery, the confession of a monk surrounded by nuns and other clergymen!

At the end of the video, Papa V and the Nameless Ghouls are revealed, and we discover dazzling new costumes and make-up that we may have the opportunity to see on stage. We loved URNE as opening band of the AVATAR tour, so we continue to follow their journey. So here is that the London band has just released Throes of Grief, a new track coupled with a cover of Black Sabbath “I“

While Throes of Grief includes a guitar solo by Tim Öhrström from Avatar, “I” is a cover of a Black Sabbath track from the time when Ronnie James Dio had rejoined the band. Freshly moved from the Candlelight label to Spinefarm Records, the English band seem determined to redefine the world of epic metal and the sacred power of riffs.

After two studio albums – Serpent And Spirit (2021) & A Feast On Sorrow (2023, produced by Joe Duplantier of Gojira) and tours including appearances at numerous festivals, URNE is more than ever ready to defend the heavy approach to its music with its eyes set on the future.

“When I startedwriting Throes Of Grief, I was listening to a lot of Megadeth’s Countdown to Extinction, says Joe Nally, the band’s lead singer and bass, “that’s probably why I felt that this song needed a solo that was executed by a killer. So, we asked our friend Tim Öhrström, whom we had met during the French tour with Avatar. He has such a cool and unique style that fits perfectly with what I wanted” and the bassist/singer continued, “On these new tracks, we have fun paying tribute to those who paved the way for bands like ours.

I is a song that I wanted to cover for a long time. It’s one of the heaviest tracks on Black Sabbath. In terms of lyrics and voice, it is Dio in his most diabolical and nasty form. Vocally, no one can claim to be in the same division as him, so I had to approach singing in a different way. It was a challenge that, for me, was a real game-changer vocally. It’s been almost 15 years since Ronnie James Dio left us, but it’s impossible to forget him. This cover is our way of paying tribute to him and thanking him for his music”

With these two new tracks, a whole new chapter in the history of URNE is opening…

SAXON – Eagles Over Hellfest

In 1984, 1985 and 1986, SAXON, then at the peak of its popularity, performed three years in a row at the Zenith in Paris! It was in the heyday of the albums Crusader, Innocence Is No Excuse and Rock The Nations.

Every night, the band’s emblematic eagle, the one that adorned the cover of the album Wheels of Steel, and then those that followed it, had majestically hovered over these unforgettable concerts.

40 years later, SAXON will finally be back, headlining, at the Zenith Paris at Porte de la Villette, but also at those of Nantes and Toulouse, to offer its French fans its show “Castles & Eagles”, whose “short” version delighted the audience of Hellfest last June.

LENNY KRAVIZ – Are You Gonna Go My Way

Grandiose! Outstanding! Unforgettable! Electrifying! There are many superlatives to describe Lenny Kravitz‘s concert on March 29 at La Défense Arena, a concert of more than two hours in front of 40000 people!

Avalanche of hits, riffs, energy, sexiness and Love lots of Love! Impressive scenography: giant screens, jets of flames and a shower of confetti. Musicians at the top, special mention for the excellent guitar hero Craig Ross, “the longest relationship of his life” as Lenny likes to tell us!   A good opportunity to look back at his discography, for example, the album Are You going to Go My Way released in 1993.
