Don’t Go In The Forest, le 10eme album AVATAR est sorti le jour d’Halloween. Sombre, flamboyant, drôle, terrifiant et émouvant, c’est le disque le plus accrocheur, le plus diversifié et le plus cinématique du groupe ! Brillant ! Le Freakshow « Avatarien » dans toute sa splendeur.

HALESTORM – Everest

EVEREST, le nouvel album de Halestorm est sorti le 08 aout.EVEREST ce sont des riffs contagieux, des solos brûlants, des mélodies entêtantes, des textes puissants et surtout c’est la voix époustouflante de LZZY HALE, impériale sur chaque morceau. Géant !

SCORPIONS – FROM THE FIRST STING

L’un des groupes de hard rock et de heavy metal les plus populaires de tous les temps, SCORPIONS, célèbre ses 60 ans de carrière avec une compilation riche et passionnante : From The First Sting. Un double album qui contient évidement leurs hymnes inoubliables inscrits à tout jamais dans l’inconscient collectif, mais aussi des titres inédits. Un indispensable pour tout passionné de Rock.

TOM SMITH – There is Nothing in the Dark That isn’t there in the Light.

Le 5 décembre, Tom Smith a dévoilé son premier album solo, There is Nothing in the Dark That isn’t there in the Light, une œuvre profondément intime, où l’ombre dialogue avec la lumière et où chaque mélodie, dépouillée et sincère, évoque à la fois la douceur des souvenirs et la force des émotions brutes. Magnifique !

Wings of Steel – Winds of Time

Le groupe american,Wings of Steel revient avec un nouvel album, Winds of Time, sorti le 17 octobre. 8 titres parfaitement maîtrisés, l’album mêle puissance brute, envolées mélodiques, virtuosité instrumentale et tension émotionnelle. Le combo incarne aujourd’hui l’un des plus beaux espoirs du heavy metal.

STORM ORCHESTRA– Get Better

C’est groovy, c’est énergique, c’est intense et c’est émouvant, le nouvel album de STORM ORCHESTRA, Get Better, est d’un de plus belle découverte de l’année. Le rock-métal alternatif Made in France est représentée avec brio par ce trio talentueux et stylé à qui on prédit un bel avenir !

GHOST – SKELETÁ

Avec son 6eme album sorti le 25 avril, GHOST, a atteint des nouveaux sommets mélodiques. On assite à une énorme concentration des mélodies, des refrains plus grandioses que jamais qui s’incrustent bien dans nos têtes. SKELETÁ est tout simplement un chef d’œuvre musical.

THE RASMUS – WEIRDO

L’infatigable groupe finlandais signe un onzième album, WEIRDO (sorti le 12 septembre) qui coche toutes les cases de leur style incisif : fusion de rock – métal énergique, des refrains entrainants, des riffs heavy et des mélodies accrocheuses gorgés des émotions à fleur de peau.

NO MONEY KIDS – FIREWORKS

Les guitares rugissantes, le rock lo-fi vibrant, le blues-électro savoureux, les mélodies accrocheuses, les rhythmiques rebondissantes, nous avons retrouvé, le 31 janvier, l’empreinte sonore du duo français NO MONEY KIDS – FIREWORKS. Un album électrisant qui porte bien son titre !

HANGMAN’S CHAIR– SADDICTION

Avec son esthétique sombre, ses paysages sonores éthérés et atmosphériques, le nouvel album du groupe français, Saddiction, capture parfaitement l’essence de la tristesse, la rend belle et terriblement accrocheuse : Les riffs sont obsédants, les rhythmiques sont d’une lourdeur écrasante, les mélodies mélancoliques sont merveilleuses et les lignes vocales particulièrement intenses. Sorti le 14 février.

ROYAL REPUBLIC –The Blastbeaters

Royal Republic, les rois du rock’n’roll survitaminé Made in Sweden, ont sorti en digital un EP “disco” 100% fun qui évidement devrais figurer dans notre liste de best of !

Dans la peau d’un groupe fictif de black metal, The Blastbeaters , alter ego d’Adam, Jonas, Per et Hannes nous ont préparé quatre reprises disco cultes revisitées à coup de guitares dans une ambiance ultra fun où tout est amplifié : plus fort, plus fou,plus heavy que jamais ! AVATAR – Don’t Go In The Forest

Don’t Go In The Forest, the 10th album AVATAR was released on Halloween day. Dark, flamboyant, funny, terrifying and moving, it’s the band’s catchiest, most diverse and cinematic record! Brilliant! The “Avatarian” Freakshow in all its splendour.

HALESTORM – Everest

EVEREST, Halestorm’s new album was released on August 8th. EVEREST is contagious riffs, burning solos, catchy melodies, powerful lyrics and above all it’s the breathtaking voice of LZZY HALE, imperial on each track. Giant!

SCORPIONS – FROM THE FIRST STING

One of the most popular hard rock and heavy metal bands of all time, SCORPIONS, celebrates their 60-year career with a rich and exciting compilation: From The First Sting. A double album that obviously contains their unforgettable anthems forever inscribed in the collective unconscious, but also unreleased tracks. A must-have for any rock enthusiast.

TOM SMITH – There is Nothing in the Dark That isn’t there in the Light.

On December 5, Tom Smith unveiled his first solo album, There is Nothing in the Dark That Isn’t There in the Light, a deeply intimate work, where shadow dialogues with light and where each melody, stripped down and sincere, evokes both the sweetness of memories and the strength of raw emotions. Magnificent!

Wings of Steel – Winds of Time

The American band, Wings of Steel is back with a new album, Winds of Time, released on October 17th. 8 tracks perfectly mastered, the album mixes raw power, melodic flights, instrumental virtuosity and emotional tension. The combo embodies today one of the most beautiful hopes of heavy metal. 

STORM ORCHESTRA- Get Better

It’s groovy, it’s energetic, it’s intense and it’s moving, STORM ORCHESTRA’s new album, Get Better, is one of the most beautiful discoveries of the year. Alternative rock-metal Made in France is brilliantly represented by this talented and stylish trio for whom we predict a bright future!

GHOST – SKELETÁ

With its 6th album released on April 25th, GHOST, has reached new melodic heights. We witness a huge concentration of melodies, choruses more grandiose than ever that fit well in our heads. SKELETÁ is simply a musical masterpiece.

THE RASMUS – WEIRDO

The indefatigable Finnish band signs an eleventh album, WEIRDO (released on September 12th) which ticks all the boxes of their incisive style: fusion of rock and energetic metal, catchy choruses, heavy riffs and melodies full of emotions on the skin.

NO MONEY KIDS – FIREWORKS

Roaring guitars, vibrant lo-fi rock, tasty electro blues, catchy melodies, bouncy rhythms, we rediscovered, on January 31st, the sound imprint of the French duo NO MONEY KIDS – FIREWORKS. An electrifying album that lives up to its title!

HANGMAN’S CHAIR- SADDICTION

With its dark aesthetics, ethereal and atmospheric soundscapes, the new album of the French band, Saddiction, perfectly captures the essence of sadness, makes it beautiful and terribly catchy: The riffs are haunting, the rhythms are overwhelmingly heavy, the melancholic melodies are wonderful and the vocal lines particularly intense. Released on February 14.

Royal Republic – The Blastbeaters

Royal Republic, the kings of supercharged rock’n’roll Made in Sweden, have released a 100% fun “disco” EP digitally which should obviously be in our list of best of!

In the shoes of a fictional black metal band, The Blastbeaters, Adam’s alter ego, Jonas, Per and Hannes have prepared four cult disco covers revisited with guitars in an ultra fun atmosphere where everything is amplified: louder, crazier, heavier than ever! Check out their versions of immortal disco classics: Venus (Shocking Blue) & I am so Excited (by the Pointer Sisters), Stayin’ Alive (Bee Gees) and Go West (Village People).
