ROYAL REPUBLIC – Staying Alive
Après Venus et I’m So Excited, ROYAL REPUBLIC poursuit sa saga de hits disco revisités façon « hard rock » en reprenant le tube légendaire Staying Alive de Bee Gees !
Une version explosive de la célèbre chanson qui figure sur la BO de tout aussi célèbre film, Saturday Night Fever.
C’est donc le 3ème chapitre de la bande son d’une mini-série en quatre épisodes que le groupe suédois rebaptisé à l’occasion The Blastbeaters et arborant un look digne des dieux du black metal a choisi de reprendre à sa manière : des gros riff heavy, une voix de crooner et une vidéo ultra fun, evidement. Il ne manque que John Travolta et ses pas de danse cultes!
Et maintenant, on attend évidement le 4ème et dernier épisode pour connaitre le sort et l’avenir de The Blastbeaters. Pourriez- vous le deviner ? Les paris sont ouverts.
STORM ORCHESTRA – Maneater
Sorti chez Mascot Records le 11 avril 2025, Get Better le deuxième opus du jeune trio parisien STORM ORCHESTRA composé de Maxime Goudard (chant, guitare), Adrien Richard (basse) et Loïc Fouquet (batterie) a été un véritable coup de foudre.
Energique, intense et très groovy l’album est truffé des pépites tout aussi variées que délicieuses et captivantes qui nous rendent accros dès la première écoute.
En attendent leur concert en tête d’affiche à Paris au Nouveau Casino, le 15 octobre prochain, le groupe francilien a dévoilé une reprise inédite et décapante de Maneater le hit de Nelly Furtado que je vous invite à découvrir aujourd’hui.

DIRTY SHIRT – FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)
DIRTY SHIRT le phénomène folkcore metal roumain, revient en France pour célébrer ses 30 ans de carrière !
Habitués des grandes scènes françaises – du Hellfest 2022 à l’émission Tracks (Arte, 2019) – Dirty Shirt a fait de la France son principal pays de tournée à l’étranger.
Dirty Shirt a fait ses débuts au milieu des années 90, conservant une formation de base qui est restée inchangée pendant près de trois décennies. Parmi leurs réalisations notables, on peut citer une deuxième place à lafinale internationale du Wacken Metal Battle 2014, leur participation à de grands festivals européens tels que le Hellfest, le Wacken et le Pol’and’Rock, ainsi que des tournées couronnées de succès dans 17 pays européens.

DEF LEPPARD – Hysteria
30 ans après son dernier passage à Paris, Def Leppard sera enfin de retour en concert dans la capitale, le 8 juillet 2026 à Accor Arena ! Avec Extreme en special guest !
En effet, les trois dernières fois où Def Leppard a joué dans l’hexagone, s’inscrivaient dans le cadre du Hellfest en 2013, 2019 et 2023. Ce festival étant complet bien longtemps en avance, de nombreux fans s’étaient retrouvés dans l’incapacité de pouvoir acclamer leurs idoles. Autant dire que ce concert à Paris est un énorme événement !
Cela promet d’être une soirée inoubliable. Les prestations live spectaculaires du groupe et son arsenal de tubes sont souvent cités en référence. La carrière influente du quintette comprend de nombreux singles intemporels et des albums multi-platine, dont deux des albums les plus vendus de tous les temps Pyromania et Hysteria, qui regroupent les titres mythiques tels que Rock of Ages, Pour Some Sugar on Me, Animal, Photograph ou Foolin !

SOEN – Primal
SOEN annonce son nouvel album Reliance qui sortira le 16 janvier 2026.
Avec ce septième album studio, SOEN continue son incroyable voyage entre lumière et obscurité, vacarme et calme, bouleversement et apaisement. Dans sa progression fluide à travers un terrain émotionnel profondément humain, la musique du groupe de prog metal suédois fondé par Joel Ekelöf (chant) et Martin Lopez (batterie), poursuit son exploration de l’esprit, du cœur et de l’âme des hommes, avec une approche visionnaire, agrémentée d’une touche encore plus heavy.
Flanqués de Lars Enok Åhlund (claviers et guitare), Cody Lee Ford (guitare) et du revenant Stefan Stenberg à la basse, Ekelöf et Lopez poussent l’évolution artistique luxuriante de SOEN encore plus loin, avec un son qui prend des allures d’envol.
Le premier single, Primal est un rugissement provocateur et puissant qui décrit la lutte existentielle entre l’esprit humain et le monde qui nous entoure actuellement. Une charge émotionnelle forte, animée par l’étonnante voix de Joel.

WINGS OF STEEL- Burning Sands
Alors que le nouvel album, Winds of Times arrive le 17 octobre 2025, WINGS OF STEEL a dévoilé un nouvel extrait : Burning Sands. Un autre morceau de pure heavy metal accompagné d’une video filmée dans l’étendue désolée du désert de Bledowska en Pologne.
Cette vidéo offre une métaphore visuelle saisissante du message puissant véhiculé par la chanson. Le groupe commente le thème d’actualité de la chanson : « Ce morceau illustre les conséquences désastreuses d’événements géopolitiques qui pourraient conduire à une guerre nucléaire et à l’anéantissement de l’humanité. Cela correspond au thème sous-jacent commun des paroles de l’album, parfaitement résumé par l’observation de Mark Twain : « L’histoire ne se répète pas, mais elle rime souvent. »
WINGS OF STEEL a aussi annoncé une tournée US en première partie de SABATON ! Une trentaine de dates, étalées sur les mois de février, mars et avril 2026, qui permettra au groupe de se produire dans les grandes arénas.

AVATAR – Death and Glitz
AVATAR vient de sortir Death and Glitz, le quatrième extrait de leur nouvel album Don’t Go In the Forest, tout aussi fascinant et mystérieux que les 3 précédents : Capitan Goat, In the AirWaves et Tonight we must be wariorrs !
Un rythme dansant, une boule disco, un corps gisant par terre et un final surprenant, la lyric vidéo illustre parfaitement les paroles du frontman Johannes Eckestrom :
« Death and Glitz est une chanson sur la perversion et le détachement. Une jeune fugueuse sans-abri s’effondre et meurt sur une piste de danse. Le ruban de scène de crime devient une corde de velours rouge. L’appareil photo de l’enquêteur clignote comme des paparazzis sur le tapis rouge. Nous l’aimons pour sa mort. Maintenant, elle est parfaite. Obéissante. Tout ce que vous voulez.”
Il poursuit. “Le genre du vrai crime est aussi malade que le groupe goregrind le plus malade que vous ayez jamais entendu. Sa popularité et la forme sous laquelle il est consommé, comme un choix entre Mickey Mouse et les drames hospitaliers, révèlent une obscurité. Les meilleurs sont quand il s’agit de quelqu’un de jeune et séduisant. Un couple fait de la randonnée. Seul l’homme revient. Que projetons-nous sur la tragédie très réelle de cette personne très réelle ? On se voit nous même avec une étrange envie d’être ainsi désirés ? Voyons-nous une toile sur laquelle nous pourrions peindre l’avenir parfait, si nous étions là pour le faire correctement ? Déshumanisons-nous complètement la victime et ceux qui l’ont perdue, obsédés par l’énigme ? Quelle que soit la raison, il est clair que personne n’est plus obéissant que les morts. Les gens aiment tout simplement quand la mort a une jolie poitrine ».
« Don’t Go In The Forest est un disque rempli à ras bord de choses que nous n’avons jamais faites auparavant. Ce sont toutes des chansons et des concepts que nous n’avions jamais abordés jusqu’à présent. L’esprit est sauvage et nous nous sommes perdus dans les bois les plus sombres, remplis de souvenirs et de fantasmes. Des pensées interdites qui doivent être exprimées. » raconte Johannes Eckestrom le chanteur du groupe à propos de ce prochain album d’Avatar.
Pour rappel, l’été dernier AVATAR a effectué une tournée Européenne en 1ère partie d’Iron Maiden- en France – ils ont joué aux Eurockéennes puis à Paris à La Défense Arena, concert dont on vous a parlé.
Le 31 octobre prochain, le quintette donnera un énorme concert, baptisé « Noche De Brujas », à Mexico, à l’occasion d’Halloween, avant le fameux « Dia de los Muertos » mexicain. Cette date sera le point de départ du “In the Airwaves World Tour” qui s’étalera sur les deux prochaines années.
En France, cette tournée passera par Le Cube à Lyon, le lundi 2 mars, puis par le Zénith de Paris La Villette le samedi 7 mars 2026. Pour l’occasion le groupe sera accompagné d’Alien Weaponry en “special guest” et du groupe féministe norvégien de black metal Witch Club Satan, que l’on a pu découvrir lors du dernier Hellfest.
Préparez-vous à des soirées où Avatar va tout déchirer, et durant lesquelles il offrira un tout nouveau spectacle aussi dramatique que diabolique ! Le coeur noir et battant le quintette sera plus extravagant et flamboyant que jamais et ce pour le plus grand plaisir du public.

Saint Agnes –The Father, The Son and The Holy Beast
C’est aussi le 31 octobre prochain que Saint Agnes sera enfin de retour avec un nouvel album intitulé Your God Fearing Days Are About to Begin, un titre qui laisse envisager bien des choses… Tout comme celui de ce premier single The Father, The Son and The Holy Beast avec ses allures de méditation qui défient les genres sur la fin d’un amour qui sonne comme aboutissement doux-amère d’une dévotion. Entre chaque ligne, une voix omnipotente murmure « don’t be scared » jusqu’à ce qu’elle se révèle, terrifiante et transcendante.
Alliant puissance industrielle brute, élégance sombre et intensité hédoniste propre à faire bouger les corps, Saint Agnes a créé un son fait pour les pistes de danse gothiques imprégnées de sueur. Inspirée par l’intensité de Nine Inch Nails, le chaos transcendant les genres de Poppy et les récits cinématographiques euphoriques de Lorde, leur musique est faite pour les clubs, la scène et le vide intérieur.
Se décrivant eux-mêmes comme des « control freaks », les Saint Agnes s’occupent de manière obsessionnelle de tous les aspects de leur art et de leur musique. Après vingt ans passés à incarner la voix sombre et magnétique d’Editors, et deux disques avec le projet Smith & Burrows, Tom Smith franchit une nouvelle étape artistique avec l’annonce de son tout premier album solo, There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light, disponible le 5 décembre 2025.
Leave est le troisièmeextrait, après Lights Of New York City et Life Is For Living, un titre à la fois intime et mélodique, qui se distingue comme l’un des morceaux les plus lumineux du disque. Entre chanson de rupture et quête d’acceptation, Leave illustre le mélange de fragilité et d’espoir qui traverse ce premier album solo.
À propos du morceau, Tom Smith confie :
« On a fait un vrai chemin avec ce titre. C’est en partie une chanson de séparation, traversée par un conflit mais aussi par une résolution. Il y a cette idée qu’au bout du compte, les choses peuvent s’arranger. C’est probablement ce qui se rapproche le plus d’une chanson pop sur ce disque – si tant est qu’on puisse dire ça. »
Porté par l’envie de retrouver la simplicité acoustique de ses débuts d’auteur-compositeur, Tom a choisi cette fois d’explorer une voie plus intime et personnelle. Si une première collaboration avec Andy Burrows avait été esquissée, c’est finalement aux côtés du producteur Iain Archer qu’il a façonné ce disque empreint d’honnêteté émotionnelle, de textures acoustiques et de thèmes universels : la connexion, la mémoire et la résilience.
Entre intensité épurée et élans cinématographiques, l’album tisse un équilibre entre fragilité et ampleur, mélancolie et espoir. Sept ans après leur premier show historique à Rock en Seine pour l’édition 2019, les anglais de The Cure annoncent leur retour sur la grande scène du Domaine national de Saint-Cloud. Dimanche 30 août 2026, ils clôtureront en beauté la dernière journée de festival, fidèles à leur réputation de livrer des performances amples et généreuses, où l’intensité ne faiblit jamais.
En activité depuis quatre décennies, ces titans du rock anglais ont sorti fin 2024 leur quatorzième album studio, le sublime et puissant Songs of a Lost World, et la rumeur enfle sur une nouvelle sortie en 2026.
Robert Smith, chanteur à la voix toujours juvénile et leader divinement ténébreux, sera accompagné sur scène de son fidèle bassiste Simon Gallup,le batteur Jason Cooper, le claviériste Roger O’Donnell et le guitariste Reeves Gabrels.
DAVID ELLFFESON – (Anesthesia) – Pulling Teeth
« C’est un immense honneur d’être invité à participer à cet album hommage, en particulier pour enregistrer une composition aussi emblématique que « (Anesthesia) – Pulling Teeth » du seul et unique Cliff Burton. Cela représente beaucoup de choses pour un bassiste » souligne David Ellefson.
« Pour cette session j’ai pu emprunter l’une des basses Aria Pro signature de Cliff et sa pédale Morley fuzz/wah signature afin de reproduire le son à la fois précis et puissant qu’il avait créé sur l’enregistrement original. Cette reprise fait partie du All-Star Tribute “No Life ‘Till Leather – A Tribute to Metallica’s Kill ‘Em All” à paraitre le 14 novembre 2025, la célébration colossale d’un premier album qui a marqué à jamais l’histoire du heavy metal, qui réinventait un genre et allait inspirer les générations à venir.
Pour l’occasion les vétérans Saxon, Diamond Head et Motörhead (trois des groupes favoris de Metallica) sont rejoints par des étoiles montantes telles que Tailgunner ou les Suédois Soen. A travers ce véritable who’s who de la musique heavy, chaque artiste apporte sa touche unique à un morceau classique. Les contributions des géants du thrash Testament, de l’ancien bassiste de Megadeth David Ellefson et Tygers of Pan Tang, piliers de la New Wave of British Heavy Metal, montrent que le label Silver Lining a su regarder au-delà de ses propres artistes pour obtenir le meilleur.
À cette brochette de superstars s’ajoute le légendaire groupe Raven (qui clôt l’album avec l’hymne tonitruant « Metal Militia »), qui avait participé à la toute première tournée de Metallica, la célèbre aventure Kill ‘Em All For One de 1983.
Le premier extrait qui a été révélé est « The Four Horsemen », une reprise particulièrement provocante des hard rockers The Almighty, qui a motivé le groupe à retourner en studio pour la première fois avec sa formation d’origine depuis 1991 !

WINGS OF STEEL- Burning Sands
As the new album, Winds of Times arrives on October 17, 2025, WINGS OF STEEL has unveiled a new single: Burning Sands. Another track of pure heavy metal accompanied by a video filmed in the desolate expanse of the Bledowska desert in Poland.
This video offers a striking visual metaphor for the powerful message conveyed by the song. The band comments on the topical theme of the song: “This track illustrates the disastrous consequences of geopolitical events that could lead to nuclear war and the annihilation of humanity. This fits with the common underlying theme of the album’s lyrics, perfectly summed up by Mark Twain’s observation: “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.”
WINGS OF STEEL has also announced a US tour opening for SABATON! About thirty dates, spread over the months of February, March and April 2026, which will allow the band to perform in major arenas.

AVATAR – Death and Glitz
AVATAR has just released Death and Glitz, the fourth single just as fascinating and mysterious as the 3 previous ones: Capitan Goat, In the AirWaves and Tonight we must be wariorrs! A danceable pace, a disco ball, a corpse and a surprising finale, the lyric video illustrate perfectly the words of Johannes Eckestrom.
“Death and Glitz is a song about perversion and detachment. A homeless, young runaway collapses and dies on a dancefloor. The crime scene tape becomes a red velvet rope. The investigator’s camera flashes like paparazzi on the red carpet. We love her for dying. Now, she’s perfect. Obedient. Anything you want.”
He continues. “The true crime genre is as sick as the sickest goregrind band you’ve ever heard. Its popularity and the form in which it’s being consumed, as a choice between Mickey Mouse and hospital dramas, reveals a darkness. The best ones are when it’s someone young and attractive. A couple goes hiking. Only the man returns. What do we project on this very real person’s very real tragedy? Do we see ourselves, with a strange envy for being so desired? Do we see a canvas on which we can paint the perfect future, if we were there to make it right? Do we completely dehumanize the victim and those who lost her, obsessed with the puzzle? No matter the reason, it is clear that no one is more obedient than the dead. People simply like it when death has a nice rack.”
“Don’t Go In The Forest is an album filled to the brim with stuff we’ve never done before. It’s all songs and concepts we haven’t been close to touch until now. The mind is wild and we have lost ourselves in the darkest woods, filled with memories, and fantasies. Forbidden thoughts that must be spoken.”
He concludes, “It would have been impossible to make this album at any other time than now. That’s all we ever wanted, and I think you’ll find it’s all you ever wanted too.”
As a reminder, last summer AVATAR toured Europe as the opening act for Iron Maiden – in France – they played at the Eurockéennes and then in Paris at La Défense Arena, a concert we told you about.
On October 31, the quintet will give a huge concert, called “Noche De Brujas”, in Mexico City, on the occasion of Halloween, before the famous Mexican “Dia de los Muertos”. This date will be the starting point of the “In the Airwaves World Tour” which will be spread over the next two years.
In France, this tour will stop at Le Cube in Lyon, on Monday, March 2, then at the Zénith de Paris La Villette on Saturday, March 7, 2026. For the occasion, the band will be accompanied by Alien Weaponry as a “special guest” and the Norwegian feminist black metal band Witch Club Satan, who we discovered during the last Hellfest.

After twenty years of embodying the dark and magnetic voice of Editors, and two albums with the Smith & Burrows project, Tom Smith takes a new artistic step with the announcement of his very first solo album, There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light, available on December 5, 2025.
Leave is the third single, after Lights Of New York City and Life Is For Living, a track that is both intimate and melodic, which stands out as one of the brightest tracks on the record. Between a break-up song and a quest for acceptance, Leave illustrates the mix of fragility and hope that runs through this first solo album.
About the track, Tom Smith says:
We went on a bit of a journey with that one. It’s a bit of a breakup song in some ways. There’s a conflict in this song, but there’s also a resolution. There’s an acceptance that things are going to turn around again. It’s probably the closest this record has to a pop song in some ways – if you can say that,” Tom Smith explains.
Driven by the desire to rediscover the acoustic simplicity of his early days as a songwriter, Tom has chosen this time to explore a more intimate and personal path. If a first collaboration with Andy Burrows had been sketched, it was finally alongside producer Iain Archer that he shaped this record imbued with emotional honesty, acoustic textures and universal themes: connection, memory and resilience.
Between refined intensity and cinematographic impulses, the album weaves a balance between fragility and magnitude, melancholy and hope. Seven years after their historic first show at Rock en Seine for the 2019 edition, the British band The Cure announce their come back to the main stage of the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud. On Sunday, August 30, 2026, they will close the last day of the festival in style, true to their reputation for delivering ample and generous performances, where the intensity never falters.
Active for four decades, these titans of English rock released their fourteenth studio album, the sublime and powerful Songs of a Lost World, at the end of 2024, and rumors are swirling about a new release in 2026. Robert Smith, singer with a still youthful voice and divinely dark leader, will be accompanied on stage by his faithful bassist Simon Gallup, drummer Jason Cooper, keyboardist Roger O’Donnell and guitarist Reeves Gabrels.

This cover is part of the All-Star Tribute “No Life ‘Till Leather – A Tribute to Metallica’s Kill ‘Em All” to be released on November 14, 2025, the colossal celebration of a debut album that forever marked the history of heavy metal, which reinvented a genre and would inspire generations to come.
For the occasion, veterans Saxon, Diamond Head and Motörhead (three of Metallica’s favorite bands) are joined by rising stars such as Tailgunner or the Swedes Soen. Through this veritable who’s who of heavy music, each artist brings his or her unique touch to a classic track. Contributions from thrash giants Testament, former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson and New Wave of British Heavy Metal stalwarts Tygers of Pan Tang show that Silver Lining has looked beyond its own artists to get the best.
