Dès les premières notes de Creatures of Chaos, l’auditeur est happé dans un vortex de riffs grunge, de refrains entêtants et d’une intensité vocale galvanisante. Ce morceau, tout comme la chanson-titre Weirdo, célèbre l’individualité avec puissance et sincérité, tissant un lien émotionnel fort avec le public.
Break These Chains et Rest in Pieces brillent par leur richesse musicale et leur charge émotionnelle, Dead Ringer poursuit cette envolée avec des refrains poignants, tandis que le rapide Banksy, brûlot punk rock, électrise l’écoute par un duel vocal effervescent entre Lauri Ylönen (Chant) et Emppu Suhonen (guitare).
Du groove pop funky de Love Is A Bitch à la douceur mélancolique de You Want It All et I’m Coming For You, THE RASMUS dévoile une sensibilité touchante sans jamais perdre son mordant.
En plein milieu de leurs répétitions à Helsinki pour la prochaine la tournée, le groupe au complet a fait une escapade à Paris pour nous présenter ce nouvel album en détail. J’ai eu le plaisir de m’entretenir avec la section rythmique – Eero Heinonen (basse) et Aki Hakala (batterie) et apprendre beaucoup plus de choses sur WEIRDO mais aussi sur leur longue carrière et leur récent concert en Ukraine.

Vous fêtez vos 30 ans de carrière. Le temps passe vite et vous ne vieillissez pas du tout. Quel est votre secret ?
Eero : Oui, c’est vrai. Ça a été une longue carrière. Mais il ne faut pas oublier que nous avons commencé à l’âge de 15 ans. Nous étions vraiment des enfants, et nous avions des rêves. L’un de nos rêves était de jouer dans un groupe, de faire une tournée dans des pays que nous n’avions pas visité et de jouer pour des nouveaux fans.
Aki : Les premières années, on a joué qu’en Finlande et tout d’un coup il y a eu un accident. Nous avons fait une chanson qui s’appelle In the Shadows, qui nous a ouvert la porte vers le monde entier. Pas seulement en Europe, mais nous sommes allés dans environs 75 pays différents. In the Shadows a été un bel accident.
C’était une chanson a été vraiment spéciale… On a fait un jam et on s’est dit, ok, il y a quelque chose dans cette chanson. Et ça a pris environ 10 minutes pour avoir la chanson complète et je sais que cela n’arrive pas à tout le monde.
Nous aimons toujours faire ce que nous faisons, ce qui est important. Nous sommes toujours de très bons amis.
Il y a eu une période creuse pendant le COVID lorsque Pauli ( ndrl Pauli Rantasalmi l’ancien guitariste) a quitté le groupe. C’était en quelque sorte, on s’est demandé si c’était la fin…Mais ensuite, on a trouvé Emppu. Et après cela, j’ai senti que nous étions plus forts que jamais. Maintenant, on sort un très bon album avec un son frais et on pense que les gens pourraient l’aimer. C’est un bon feeling.
WEIRDO est votre 11ème album. Je dirais qu’il est plus heavy et un peu plus sombre que les précédents mais mais toujours avec les grandes mélodies et les grands refrains The Rasmus. Est-ce que c’est une sorte de nouveau chapitre pour vous ?
Eero : D’une certaine manière, oui. Il y a beaucoup de nouvelles choses qui se sont passés avec cet album. D’abord EMPPU a été avec nous pendant tout l’album.
Une autre nouveauté est la présence de Better Noise Music, qui est maintenant notre partenaire. Et aussi de nouveaux producteurs : Alex Mattson de Blind Channel, Joseph McQueen, Marti Frederiksen. Desmond Child étaient là aussi, pour travailler les chansons. C’est une bonne équipe. L’album le plus heavy? Je dirai le plus métal peut-être.
Les thèmes de l’album sont sombres mais peut-être pas si sombres que ça … on n’est pas du genre déprimés … il y a des ondes positives dans les paroles.
Aki : ça sonne quand même comme The Rasmus : c’est très mélodique et je dirais que les mélodies viennent du nord d’une manière ou d’une autre. C’est proche de la musique qui était jouée en Finlande quand nous étions enfants. De la musique finlandaise très traditionnelle, très mélancolique… tu sais, qui donne ce sentiment d’être à genoux et de demander quelque chose. On peut entendre ces éléments dans nos chansons.
C’était naturel d’aller vers un son plus hard. On ne s’est pas dit, il faudra faire ça ou ça. C’est venu naturellement. Le monde se porte mal en ce moment et Lauri s’est beaucoup inspire de cette thématique.
Mais il y a toujours de l’espoir, une étincelle d’espoir dans chaque chanson. On reçoit beaucoup de messages de la part des fans qui nous disent je suis l’un d’entre vous, je suis aussi un weirdo, je suis bizarre… Les gens se sont retrouvés dans les paroles et nous avons déjà reçu beaucoup de retours positifs.
WEIRDO – on sent que c’est la chanson la plus importante et le mot clé de l’album. Est-ce que vous, vous sentez bizarres ? De quelle manière ?
Eero : D’une certaine manière, oui, parce que la carrière d’un artiste, c’est un peu bizarre. Alors que la plupart des gens ont un travail régulier de 9 h à 17 h et un mode de vie régulier, nous vivons d’une manière différente. Notre style de vie est différent et un peu bizarre… parfois, nous partons en tournée pendant deux mois.
Lauri a eu l’idée centrale de cette chanson peut-être parce qu’il a ressenti cela de nombreuses fois. Les gens le regardent et le trouve bizarre parce qu’il s’habille d’une manière différente, se maquille, met des plumes dans les cheveux.
Et il a eu l’idée construire cette chanson au tour de ces questions comme “qu’est-ce que tu vois quand tu me regardes ? tu vois une personne bizarre ou quelque chose de désagréable ? Alors, dit-moi ce que je devrais faire si je ne fais pas cela, que dois-je faire ? Si je ne suis pas un artiste, que dois-je faire ?
Je pense que c’était un concept intéressant pour énoncer le fait que tout le monde peut être différent et qu’il n’y a rien d’anormal.
Le fait d’être différent est une chose à célébrer. Il faut montrer que vous êtes différent.
Aki : Tu es le bienvenu si tu es différent. Weirdo est le mot clé pour le thème de l’album et ce n’est pas un mot négatif même si certaines personnes pourraient le penser.
Je pense que c’est une chose positive d’être bizarre. J’aime les individus et j’aime les gens qui ont l’air différents, qui viennent d’horizons différents et qui se comportent différemment.
C’est génial d’être différents, et nous sommes vraiment ouverts d’esprit, et nous voulons inviter tous ces gens à nos concerts. Soyons tous bizarres et amusons-nous !
Comment s’est déroulé le processus d’écriture et d’enregistrement de l’album ?
Aki : Lauri est le principal auteur-compositeur, mais nous sommes un groupe et chacun d’entre nous a son mot à dire quand il s’agit du son ou de l’arrangement de la chanson et nous avons toujours beaucoup d’opinions. Il n’y a pas un seul gars qui décide, c’est très démocratique dans le sens où tout le monde peut apporter des idées. C’est une très bonne façon de travailler en tant que groupe, en tant qu’unité.
Pour cet album, Lauri a écrit quelques chansons avec Desmond Child, qui est un producteur légendaire des États-Unis (ndlr : Il a co-écrit des hits avec KISS, AEROSMITH ou BON JOVI).
On est allés à Nashville pour enregistrer et c’était vraiment inspirant. C’est une ville de musique, à chaque coin de rue, il y avait un groupe qui jouait.
On a séjourné dans la maison d’hôtes de Desmond et tous les matins on se réveillait, on prenait le petit déjeuner et c’était le moment où les meilleures idées sortaient.
On est resté quelques semaines, on a pris le temps et disposé de la concentration nécessaire pour rendre cet album parfait. Et puis on a rencontré Joseph McQueen un super producteur de Los Angeles qui nous a aidé pour rendre le son plus frais.

Eero : Cela a été un long processus car nous avons commencé en 2023, nous avons travaillé lentement et en détail. On a également des artistes qui ont collaboré avec nous comme Lee Jennings de The Funeral Portrait qui est venu chanter sur la chanson Weirdo et le chanteur de Blind Channel, Niko Vilhem est venu chanter sur Break These Chains.
Aki : Il y a eu un moment où on a senti que l’album était prêt. Et puis deux jours plus tard, Lauri nous écrit sur What’s UP : hey les gars, j’ai écrit une chanson, vous devez écouter ça.
Il s’agissait de Rest in Pieces et on a donc appelé Alex de Blind Channel pour lui demander s’il est disponible pour enregistrer une chanson et il a dit oui, j’ai deux jours. On l’a enregistré en 1 jour et on a dû enlever une autre chanson pour garder le total de 10 chansons. Rest in Pieces c’est devenu un très bon morceau que nous avons décidé d’être le premier single de l’album.
Parlons de la chansons Banksy. J’adore la chanson, et j’adore l’artiste. Comment vous avez eu l’idée pour cette chanson ?
Eero : Banksy est un grand artiste et il arrive à passer des messages très intéressants sur les murs de Bristol ou ailleurs dans le monde. Je pense qu’il a beaucoup de choses à dire. Avec cette chanson, nous voulions faire quelque chose dans un style skate punk. On était gamins au début des années 90 et on écoutait beaucoup de groupes comme NOFX, Bad Religion, Pennywise, on voulait faire quelque chose avec le même feeling.
Aki : Nous sommes fans du travail de Banksy. C’est un artiste incroyable. Lauri a écrit les paroles de cette chanson et d’une certaine manière, nous avons senti que ce style punk collait parfaitement avec les paroles et l’idée de Banksy. C’est une super chanson à jouer en live. Nous l’avons répété afin de la jouer sur la tournée et je peux dire que ce sont les trois meilleures minutes que vous puissiez imaginer. C’est si rapide et très énergique.
La tournée démarre le même jour que la sortie de l’album, le 12 septembre. On dira que vous avez hâte de jouer live.
Aki : Oui, on démarre en Finlande avec une série des concerts et ensuite nous allons sillonner l’Europe. Nous serons à Paris le 28 novembre la Cigale.
La dernière fois à Paris, nous avons joué à La Maroquinerie et on garde de bons souvenirs. C’était sold out et c’était vraiment fantastique. Il y avait 500 personnes. La salle était tellement bondée que certains fans étaient presque sur scène avec nous. Il y avait beaucoup de sueur et de punk et d’énergie dans le club.
On est ravis de revenir à Paris. On aime beaucoup cette ville. C’est toujours sympa d’y jouer. Nous avons beaucoup de fans fidèles. Et on lance une invitation pour tous les Weirdos et les autres créatures à nous rejoindre et à passer du bon temps ensemble.
Oublions un peu le monde, concentrons-nous sur la bonne musique et amusons-nous !
The Rasmus a un look signature : vêtements noirs, oversize, des plumes… qu’est-ce qui vous inspire pour choisir vos outfits ?
Eero : on aime beaucoup travailleur sur des vidéos clips. Certaines de nos idées nous viennent à ces moments. C’est comme cela on a eu cette idée du corbeau. C’était à l’origine dans un clip vidéo, et c’est devenu une sorte d’emblème ou même de symbole. Lauri portait tout le temps des plumes dans les cheveux.
Par exemple pour Creatures of Chaos, on a mis beaucoup d’idées folles sur la table à propos des vêtements et des looks et certaines d’entre elles ont fini par être utilisées dans la vidéo, d’autres étaient trop difficiles à réaliser. Il ya même quelques couleurs. Quand on commence à chercher des bons looks pour les vidéos, il ya toujours quelque chose de sympa qui arrive.
Le haut que je porte aujourd’hui, c’est une création que on a fait avec mes amis pour la vidéo Break These Chains.
Aki : (rires) J’espère qu’il reste en bon état. La tournée ne fait que commencer et c’est le seul haut qu’il a.
En fait, les vêtements doivent être confortables et d’une certaine manière, je n’y pense pas trop. Après, c’est vrai la plupart sont noirs…
Eero : En fait, il faut que les outfits soient beaux, s’adaptent à l’ambiance de la scène, mais il faut aussi que ça soit confortable parce qu’il faut qu’on puisse jouer des instruments.
Vous avez joué en Ukraine cette été. Parlez-nous de cette expérience
Aki : Nous avions décidé de ne pas faire de concerts pendant l’été, mais nous avons reçu un e-mail qui nous invitait à jouer à Atlas à Kiev, qui est le plus grand festival d’Ukraine.
On a accepté toute de suite, même si on ne savait pas comment nous allons le faire ou si nous allons avoir notre équipe avec nous.
Tout le voyage a été plein d’émotions. C’était long car on ne peut pas aller en l’avion en Ukraine, on est donc allés en train et en voiture.
Et la première nuit, on a dû dormir dans un abri anti-bombes à cause des drones et des bombardements qui ont eu lieu cette nuit-là.
Le show a été magnifique. Je m’en souviendrai toujours. C’était spécial. Je pense que tout le monde a pu oublier un instant ce qui se passe dans le pays.
c’était seulement de l’amour, de la compréhension et de bons sentiments. On a joué la chanson In the Shadows avec Kalush Orchestra, qui a remporté l’Eurovision en 2022, l’année quand on y est allés également.
C’était très émouvant de jouer No Fear ou Living in the World Without You, les paroles de ces chansons ont pris une autre signification, plus grande et plus importante.
On a eu petit aperçu de ce que les gens vivent là-bas. La guerre dure depuis environ 1 500 jours déjà. Et les jeunes sont vraiment épuisés. S’il y’a une alarme, ils ne vont même plus dans les refuges parce qu’ils en veulent plus. Ils veulent continuer vivre normalement.
Nous avons reçu beaucoup de messages de leur part, de remerciements parce que on ne les a pas oubliés. On a apporté un peu d’espoir dans cette terrible situation.
On a fait beaucoup de dons. On a fait don du cachet du concert. On a visité un l’hôpital pour enfants pour rencontrer des victimes qui ont perdu leurs jambes à cause des bombardements. C’est vraiment triste.
Les jeunes, ils ont d’abord eu le COVID et maintenant c’est la guerre. Imaginez cette vie d’adolescent. Pour certains d’entre eux le festival où nous avons joué, c’était peut-être le premier festival qu’ils n’ont jamais vu.
Mais je veux dire que les gens étaient plutôt positifs. Vous pouviez voir un peu d’espoir dans leurs yeux . Ils espèrent qu’un jour cela se terminera et qu’ils pourront continuer faire quoi qu’ils faisaient avant : leur travail ou leurs loisirs. Les gens devraient tomber amoureux, faire des bébés, être heureux, pas souffrir comme cela.
C’est important de les aider. Tout le monde devrait, si possible, leur donner un peu d’aide et il existe de nombreuses façons d’aider. Et surtout il ne faut pas les oublier. C’est la première étape. Nous, on se souviendra le reste de notre vie de cette visite.
Eero : C’était une expérience incroyable. Bien sûr, les gens ont traversé tant de choses. Nous venons d’un pays sûr et nous avions un peu peur de passer deux jours là-bas, mais ces gens vivent comme ça depuis 1 500 jours déjà.

Eero : On a une grande base de fans. J’aime l’ambiance vraiment passionnée ici et j’ai hâte de les retrouver.

In the middle of their rehearsals in Helsinki in preparation for the upcoming tour, the whole band made a getaway to Paris to present us this new album in detail. I had the great pleasure of talking with the rhythm section – Eero Heinonen (bass) and Aki Hakala (drums) and learning a lot more about WEIRDO, their long career and also about their recent performance in Ukraine.

You are celebrating 30 years of career. Time flies and you are not aging at all. How do you feel?
Eero: Yeah, that’s true. It’s been a long career. But you have to remember that we started when we were 15 years old. We were really children, and we had dreams. One of our dreams was to play in a band, tour in countries that we haven’t seen and play for people that are new for us.
Aki : First years, we only played in Finland and all of a sudden there was an accident.
We made a song called In the Shadows, which opened us the whole world. Not only Europe, but we went to, I don’t know, like 75 different countries. So that was a nice accident.
It was a song that was special…We had a jam and we just felt like, ok, there’s something in this song. And it took like 10 minutes to a complete song, and we said let’s record it. It doesn’t happen to everybody that…
And we still enjoy doing what we do, which is important. We are still good friends. There was a down period during the COVID when Pauli (Pauli Rantasalmi ) the guitarist left the band.
Which was kind of is this the end of it? But then we found Emppu. And after that, I felt that we are stronger than in years. So that’s a good feeling. And especially now we have really good album coming out and we feel fresh. We feel that we have something in our hands that people might love. That’s a good feeling.
Weirdo, it’s the 11th album. I would say that the heaviest one. It’s also dark but we find your style with the big melodies and choruses. Is it a kind of new chapter for you?
Eero : In a way, yeah. There’s a lot of new things happening. One of them is, of course, that EMPPU has been with us for the whole album.
Another new thing is the presence of Better Noise Music, which is our partner now. And we also worked with new producer members, Alex Mattson from Blind Channel, and then Joseph McQueen, Marti Frederiksen. Desmond Child was there also, like doctoring the songs. It’s a good team. Not sure if the heaviest album…Yeah, I think more metal maybe.
The themes of the album are not so dark… there are some positive vibes in the lyrics. We’re not like kind of depressed type of people.
Aki : and yeah, it still sounds like The Rasmus : it’s very melodic driven and the melodies somehow, those come from up north. Like the music that was played in Finland when we were kids, you know like was very traditional Finnish music, very melancholic… that feeling like being on your knees and begging for something. You can hear those elements in our songs…
Yeah, it felt natural to go a bit harder style. I mean, it wasn’t like we had to do this or that. It just felt like that. It comes naturally.
And, you know, the world is fucked up at the moment, and Lauri got many of the themes from that.
But there is always the hope, spark of hope in every song. We get a lot of messages from the fans like “I’m one of you guys, I’m also a weirdo”… people found themselves in the lyrics and we’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback.
I think we did something right there that people can really like.
Weirdo. We feel that this song and this word are the most important on the album. Do you feel weirdo? In what way?
Eero: In a way, yes, because the career of an artist it’s sort of a weird thing. While most of other people have like a regular work from 9 AM to 5 PM and regular lifestyle, that’s not us, as we are living in a different way. Sometimes, we go on tour for two months and it’s kind of weird. But also, it’s a thing to celebrate the way of being different and showing that you are different.
Lauri had the central idea of Weirdo. Maybe he felt this many times, as people are looking at him because he dresses in a different way, puts makeup, puts feathers in the hair and stuff like that.
And then he developed into this thought that, Hey, what do you see when you look at me? Are you seeing a weird person or are you seeing something that is unpleasant? So, tell me what should I then do if I don’t do this, what I’m doing? If I’m not being an artist, what should I then do?”
I think that was an interesting concept for kind of stating the thing that everybody can be individual and there is no such thing as normal.
Aki : You’re welcome to be different and I think weirdo, it’s a strong word. It’s not a negative word even if some people might think it’s negative.
I think that’s a positive thing. I love individuals and I love people looking different and coming from different backgrounds and behaving differently.
Being different is great, and we are really open-minded, this is something to celebrate. We want to invite all those people to our gigs and let’s be all weirdos and have some fun.
Weirdo was like a key word for the whole theme of the album, and it felt natural to pick that as an album title.
How did you guys work together? How was the writing and recording process?
Aki: Lauri is the main songwriter, but we are a band. So that means that we, every one of us has an input, if we talk about the sounds or arrangements of the songs, and we have lots of opinions. So, there is not like one guy who decides. We are really like democratic in that sense that everybody can bring in ideas. And I think that’s, it’s a really good way to work as a band, as a unit.
For this time, Lauri was also writing some songs with Desmond Child, who is a legendary producer from the US. We went to Nashville to record, that was really inspiring. It’s a music city. So much music… there was a band playing in every corner.
We stayed at Desmond’s guest house and every morning, we woke up and we had a breakfast and that was the moment when the best ideas came out.
And it was a really nice couple of weeks there. We took so much time and focus to make this album perfect. And then we also met a great producer: Joseph McQueen from LA that help us with a little bit fresher sound.
Eero: It’s been a long process for this album. We already started in 2023 but we’ve been slowly working up to this moment. We also have featuring artists like Lee Jennings from the Funeral Portrait that came to sing on the Weirdo and Blind Channel’s singer Niko Vilhem who came to sing on Break These Chains.
So yeah, it’s been kind of we’ve been kind of slowly building something that we feel like, okay, now it’s ready.
Aki : There was a moment when we felt that the album was ready. And then like two days later, Lauri writes us on Whats Up guys, I made a song, you have to listen to this.
It was Rest in Pieces, so we called Alex from Blind Channel to ask if he is free to record a song, he was available, so we book a studio for 2 days, but we finish it in 1 day. And it became such a good track that we decided to be first single for the album.
And we had to skip one song that we planned as we wanted to keep a total of 10 songs.
Let’s talk about Banksy. I love the song, and I love the artist. How came from the inspiration for this song?
Eero : Banksy is a great artist, and he put very interesting message to the walls of Bristol or elsewhere in the world. I think he has a lot to say. With this song we wanted to do something that also has kind of this skate punk feeling. We were kids in the early 90s and we were listening to a lot of bands like NOFX, Bad Religion, Pennywise. We wanted to do like something with the same feeling.
Aki : We are fans of Banksy work. He’s an amazing artist. Lauri wrote the lyrics about this and somehow, we felt that this punk world fits perfectly with the lyrics and the idea of Banksy. Yeah, and it’s a great live song. I want to play this song live. We have practice it for the live concert and It’s the best three minutes you can imagine, because it’s so fast and it’s so energetic.
The tour is starting in same day as the album released,12th of September.
Aki: Yes, we start in Finland, we have a bunch of gigs before European tour. We will be in Paris of 28th of November la Cigale.
Last time in Paris we played at La Maroquinerie and it was sold out. It was a fantastic show. There were 500 people, and it was so packed. Some of the fans were almost on the stage with us. It was sweaty and punkish and great high energy in the club.
Weirdo was like a key word for the whole theme of the album, and it felt natural to pick that as an album title…weirdo, it’s a strong word. It’s not a negative word even if some people might think it’s negative…Being different is great, it is something to celebrate. We want to invite all those people to our gigs and let’s be all weirdos and have some fun!
We are excited to come back. Paris is always nice. We have great fans here, really loyal people, and so this is an invitation for all the weirdos and creatures to join us and, have some good time together.
Let’s forget the world a little and just to focus on good music and have some good fun!
I would say you have a signature look with black clothes, oversized, feathers …what inspired you for choosing your outfits?
Eero: We like to work with music videos quite a lot. Some of our ideas are coming from music videos. For example, we had this idea of the crow. It was originally in a music video, and it became a sort of an emblem or even a symbol. Lauri was wearing the feathers in the hair.
For Creatures of Chaos, we kind of put in a lot of crazy ideas on table about clothes and looks and some of them we ended up using in the video, some colours also, but some of them we discarded because it was not so easy to do. But when you then when you start hunting for the right looks and clothes for the videos something nice might come up.
The top I am wearing today it was a creation that we did with my friends for Break This Chains video.
Aki : (laughing) I Hope it stays in a good condition. I mean, the tour is just starting. That’s the only one he has.
Clothes should be comfortable. I mean, what you wear is part of you and your image and everything. I don’t think about it too much.
But yeah, the clothes I have are mostly black, It just feels like it.
Eero: we have to look good and it has to fit the stage mood, but it also has to be usable because we need to play the instruments.
You guys played in Ukraine in summer? How was this experience?
Aki : We decided not to do any gigs during the summer, but then we got an e-mail with the invitation to perform at Atlas Festival in Kyiv, which is the biggest festival in Ukraine.
And we said, yes, we are coming but we didn’t even know if we can get the crew with us or how we are going to do it.
The whole trip was full of emotions. It was a long trip there, because you can’t fly to Ukraine right now, so we went by train and by car.
And the first night we needed to sleep in a bomb shelter because of the drones and bombings that happened that night.
The show was beautiful. I will always remember that. It was special.I think that all the people forgot for a moment what’s happening in the country.
And it was like only love and understanding and good feeling in the field.
And we even played a song In the Shadows of Ukraine with the Kalush Orchestra, who was the Eurovision winner in 2022, the year we also went there.
Songs like No Fear or Living in the World Without You got like a level up, because of the meaning of the lyrics.
We got an idea about how they are living there. They’ve been into this war situation for 1,500 days already. And the young people are really exhausted. If there’s an alarm, they don’t even go to shelters anymore because they don’t want to. They want to continue their lives.
We got a lot of messages from them like that you guys, you didn’t forget us.
We brought some hope into this awful situation. We did not take any money for the gig. We did a lot of charity. We went to the children’s hospital there to meet a couple of victims too, people that lost their legs because of the bombings. It’s sad.
I mean, young people, first they had COVID and now it’s the war. I mean, imagine that teenage life. The festival we played, maybe it was the first festival they never, ever experienced.
Everyone should, if possible, to give a little help for them. There are many ways to help. And even just not to forget them, that’s the first step. Not to forget that there is a war and people are suffering.
But I would say that the people were kind of positive, and you could see some little hope in their eyes that one day this will finish, and they can continue whatever they do before the war. People should fall in love, people should make babies, people should be happy!
Eero : It was an incredible experience. Of course, the people have been through so much. We come from safe country, and we were a little bit scared to spend two days there, but these people are living like this for 1,500 days already.
A last word for the French fans
Eero : We have a great fan base here. I really enjoy the really passionate vibe in France and can’t wait to see them on 28th of November.
Aki : Me too, I can’t wait to meet them when we come back in November to play at La Cigale.
