Quatre ans après l’excellent Factory, NO MONEY KIDS revient avec un nouvel opus, FIREWORKS, sorti le 31 janvier 2025. A écouter de toute urgence !

Les guitares rugissantes, le rock lo-fi vibrant, le blues-électro savoureux, les mélodies accrocheuses, les rhythmiques rebondissantes, nous retrouvons avec plaisir l’empreinte sonore du duo français formé Félix Matschulat (Guitare-chant) et JM Paletan (Basse-drums-électronique).

Dès l’ouverture avec l’addictif et l’abrasif BIG jusqu’à sa clôture avec le doux et énigmatique For the Angel, le duo nous embarque dans un road trip exaltant où les sonorités vintage et actuelles se mêlent avec beaucoup de talent et ingéniosité.

Les douze morceaux alternent les ambiances joyeuse et festives : l’explosif Get Free, le vertigineux Story of the man ou le bluesy et tonitruant Old City Blues et les atmosphères plus mélancoliques et pleine d’émotion :  l’excellent Still the Same et l’envoutant Rosie, en sont la preuve.

Les riffs bruts, les cadences entrainantes et les refrains contagieux nous donnent le tournis et une irrésistible envie de bouger. Ce nouvel opus enregistré en partie à New York City, le duo explore un territoire musical résolument plus rock et garage que jamais !

Four years after the excellent Factory, NO MONEY KIDS is back with a new album, Fireworks released on January 31, 2025. To listen to urgently! 

The roaring guitars, the vibrant lo-fi rock, the tasty blues-electro, the catchy melodies, the bouncy rhythmics, we find with pleasure the sound imprint of the French duo formed Félix Matschulat (guitar-vocals) and JM Paletan (bass-drums-electronics).

From the opening with the addictive BIG to its closing with the sweet and enigmatic For the Angel, the duo takes us on an exhilarating road trip where retro sounds and modernity are mixed with a lot of talent and ingenuity.

The twelve tracks alternate joyful and festive atmospheres such as the explosive Get Free, the catchy Story of the Man, the thunderous bluesy Old City Blues tinged with swampy blues with those more melancholic and emotional, the excellent Still the Same and the very bewitching Rosie, are the proof.

The raw riffs, the contagious choruses and groovy paces give us an irresistible desire to dance. Definitely, with this new album, recorded in part in New York City, the duo explores a musical territory more rock and garage than ever!
