An original event yesterday at the Grand Palais : 

The German artists Elmgreen & Dragset presented for one day only inside the beautiful Nef, the Galerie Perrotin’s art fair booth which will be showed at FIAC 2016. 

The interesting project shows how small and alone the white booth seems to be here, in the huge empty space of the Nef… while in 1 month time, this place will be invaded by the most important art galleries in the world. 

The art work exposed is exclusevly selected by the two Berliner artists, a very eclectic and beautiful choice of black and white works, signed by some of the biggest contemporary artists. 

This event was also a great occasion to admire almost “in private” the inside of the Grand Palais, this masterpiece of Art Nouveau architecture : the awesome verriere, the iron structure, the cupola, the stairs, an extreme and unique visual beauty … here some pictures…

Un événement original hier au Grand Palais :
Les artistes allemands Elmgreen & Dragset ont présenté pour une seule journée, sous la belle verrière, le stand de la Galerie Perrotin, tel qu’il sera exposé à la FIAC 2016.

Ce projet intéressant, montrent comment le stand, ce cube blanc semble être si petit et isolé dans l’immense espace complètement vidé de la Nef … tandis que dans 1 mois cet même espace sera envahi par les plus importantes galeries d’art dans le monde.

Les œuvres d’art présentées ici sont exclusivement choisies par les deux artistes Berlinois, un choix très éclectique, des oeuvres plutôt en noir et blanc, signées par les plus grands artistes contemporains.

Cet événement était aussi belle occasion d’admirer presque “en privé” l’interieur du Grand Palais, ce chef-d’œuvre de l’architecture Art Nouveau: la verrière impressionnante, la structure en fer, la coupole, les escaliers, une beauté visuelle extrême et unique … voici quelques images. ..
